Arizona claimed Pickard off waivers.
Meaning we didn't have any interest in him. - Atomic Wedgie
why do you say that? |

really enjoyed the Rielly dive to break up the cross crease pass and ..
Dermott catching Kane ...
its actually rarely the case that I can watch a game and feel that their lead is not really in jeopardy...

My younger daughter is a huge Andersen fan, so she was pissed when the 3rd goal went in.
I told her that it just means we get to watch San Jose pull their goalie - which cheered her up a little.
Then Andersen was named 3rd star - so it worked out just fine. |

I'm 99% sure that if Team B grabs a guy from Team A off of waivers, and then Team B puts the guy back on waivers during that season, Team A gets the opportunity to reclaim him - and can send him down without having to clear waivers. |

They just buried a $4 million goaltender in the minors? |

Zykov was just too slow.
I dunno what happened to him, but he just flat out was too slow to keep up, and isn't good enough defensively to throw on a checking line.
It's curious, though... Darling and Zykov both on waivers means the Canes are only like $375k away from the cap floor. Something must be up. - BINGO!
so Canes are basically writing Darling off then..
what happened to Pesce? |

I think there is a time restriction for that...not sure what the restriction is.

Blues put Soshnikov on waivers.
To be honest, I don't remember trading him.
Nor do I care. - Atomic Wedgie
man I recall some great posts about Sosh..penciling him in as a 20 goal scorer and poop.

Correct. The Leafs had first dibs on Pickard if they wanted him back and could have sent him down without clearing waivers.
This means they didn't want him back, even for free. |

i think since he played enough games, he goes back to normal waivers.. so just goes by order of worst teams |

My favourite part was at the time it was Sosh being in Kaps spot and kap the tradable asset. |

Yes, I think so too.
And the team that picks him up has to keep him on active roster or offer back to the Leafs.... |

Correct. Except Toronto would be the only team to send him to the minors without going on waivers again. Arizona has to make a roster spot for him now. |

what happened to Pesce? - BorjeFan4Ever
He pulled a muscle or something in his leg a while ago. According to the organization he'll be good to go at any moment, but they had to put him on IR to open up a roster spot for Bean after Fleury got hurt. Speculation among fans is that Pesce is fine, they've just been keeping him out as an extra precaution in case of a trade. |

I remember watching Commander Tom when I was little, and in the breaks you'd hear that "A fire rages in downtown Tonawanda" . . .and all I could think was, "Why doesn't anyone put that out?"
In my mind's eye, I pictured this place as a burning hellhole. - Monkeypunk
Was that when you would see that show Davey Boy or whatever it was called. Plasticine about that boy and his dog (Goliath?)....also that Rocket Robin Hood with the freeze frame pictures while telling the story?

The Process continues. Nylander has always been a two-track negotiation — sign or trade — and it’s getting close to time for one of the trains to pull into the station. Of course, it’s not out of the question for neither to arrive by 5 pm Saturday.

The Maple Leafs' priority/hope is still to re-sign William Nylander but my understanding with that with just two days to go to the signing deadline, Toronto has circled back to some teams suggesting they put their best foot forward on trade offers... which makes sense

The point here is that TOR is ringing the bell, last call for William Nylander trade offers. Soon after that, TOR will ring the bell on final contract offer to Nylander. He’ll either accept or reject. If it’s latter, TOR either trades him or let’s the deadline pass.

That would be Davey and Goliath. And yes, it was on Commander Tom's Rocketship 7 show.
And the show wasn't really about Davey and Goliath - it was about Jesus. It was all about Jesus. |
