what are peoples list of players they would trade Willie for right now 1 for 1
Make a list of 5 or 10 max who is on your list. Dont care if the player is available or not..also has to be reasonable. not Connor McDavid

off the top of my head..

Dougie Hamilton
Trouba
Paryenko
H Lindholm

also..would love to add ..but there are buts, same cap issues will be expensive)

If I had to guess:

"Kadri stared angrily at ECHL"

Garf actually said the sentence I quoted, though.

I think that was the blog that got him banned for a week.

It wouldnt have a huge impact.
- Fakepartofme

It really could.

19800 seats at SBA, and let's say an average cost of $500 a ticket (as we saw how (frank)ing crazy ticket prices were) = ~$9.9m gross revenue per game. Now this doesn't include overhead, but also doesn't include concessions. Let's call that a wash for the sake of argument, but I suspect that the profit from concessions would raise, not lower, the net revenue for each game.

Let's say the Leafs do well and have 10 home playoff games at that rate - $99m additional revenue would mean a raise to the cap of ~$1.6m. Drop the average ticket cost by half, and you're still looking at a rise of $0.8m (i.e. one additional player) just from those revenues. And I'd daresay that if the Leafs make the SCF, those ticket prices are gonna start at four figures just to get inside the building...

The snot nosed brat Kadri threw a coward's knee at Eichel's knee

In Garf's defence, a knee on knee hit on Eichel could be devastating.

If he has any scar tissue, he won't be nearly as cute when he rocks the jorts.

Yeah but in reality Eichel is much more likely to get a knee injury doing a crossover in practice.

Arizona claimed Pickard off waivers.

Meaning we didn't have any interest in him.

The crazy part is Tavares is quietly putting up points every night.

Lots of talk of Matthew's and Marner. Nylander will be talked about when he gets back and Tavares just keeps going.

- Aaron_85

Really like Tavares' 'superstar-on-the-downlow' style. This guy does sooo many things well.

That's a surprise. That's like waiving Johnsson during his slow start.

Some fun stats I've ripped from a National Post article:

Marner has had 3 assists in a game 10 times in his career (185 games total career so far).

Matthews has 12 goals in 12 games this season.

PP went 3/4 against the best PK in the league.

Damn, it was a fun evening.

I wouldn't do Trouba because he vastly overrates himself and is gonna want way too much money on his next contract.

I would also add Ellis and Ekblad to your list.

- GreatGigInTheSky

age is a big one for me. over 25 is pushing it.

I didnt add ekblad because I think people over rate him a bit and see him in the tier or 2 above Willie.

Blues put Soshnikov on waivers.

To be honest, I don't remember trading him.

Nor do I care.

really enjoyed the Rielly dive to break up the cross crease pass and ..
Dermott catching Kane ...

its actually rarely the case that I can watch a game and feel that their lead is not really in jeopardy...

Zykov was just too slow.

I dunno what happened to him, but he just flat out was too slow to keep up, and isn't good enough defensively to throw on a checking line.

It's curious, though... Darling and Zykov both on waivers means the Canes are only like $375k away from the cap floor. Something must be up.

I remember watching Commander Tom when I was little, and in the breaks you'd hear that "A fire rages in downtown Tonawanda" . . .and all I could think was, "Why doesn't anyone put that out?"

In my mind's eye, I pictured this place as a burning hellhole.

I think he had a clause in his contract that he had to play in the nhl or something like that. So they traded him.

yup.
the Canes have cheap ownership who don't want to spend.
