Once the kids are of age to have phones, and if you have siblings, their families start to get phones, then all the planning and picture sharing and whatnot, it's hard to resist.

I had an android while my wife had an iPhone - right up until the kids and cousins started getting phones (i even resisted in the beginning)....eventually I gave in - felt like I was missing out on too many things everyone was sharing. Maybe not important for some but it was for me..

The crazy part is Tavares is quietly putting up points every night.

Lots of talk of Matthew's and Marner. Nylander will be talked about when he gets back and Tavares just keeps going.

I was literally laughing during our first two powerplays last night.

On the first one, they looked terrible for about a minute. Then it was a tic-tac-toe play that no team could possibly defend against.

And then the second one. Right off the bat, Tavares gets a point-blank chance. Goalie makes a fantastic save. Then Matthews gets the puck outside of the faceoff dot - with a defenceman between him and the goalie. What does he do? Rips it over the goalie. What the frank? It's a low-percentage shot - it's not even a shot worth taking, unless you are hoping to jam in the rebound. How the frank do you design a penalty kill where you don't let a guy have the puck beyond the faceoff dot? And it was less than 20 seconds into the PP.

So, we're not getting McElhinney back? That sucks.
