Put it into perspective dude. Leafs up 4-1 then 4-2. Did you think SJ was just gonna quit? We sat back a bit. When it mattered, we were way better - PatC80
When the games matter, sitting back isn't a strong suit for the Leafs. It's a bad habit they shouldn't perpetuate. |

He truly is.
He’s just such a mess of a poster, and his anger and stubbornness. Not good qualities to have. |

Stopping all these low danger shots are so difficult.
How do you limit shots in practice ? Instead of facing 150 do you take that number down to 135? - Santo_44
Sharks had quality chances, Andersen made some significant saves. Stop pretending like there were 40 floaters from center ice. They had a lot of pressure, a lot of zone time and they were on the road too.
Like I said the other day, the "low danger chances" aren't low danger in the playoffs when they start putting more traffic in front of the net and the tip ins and the deflections become more common place.
There's a good reason most Cup winners give up less than 30 shots per game. |

Yeah, score effects here big time.
Torts put it pretty well last week when he said it's a Find a Way to Win league nowadays.
With so many young players leading the way (Millard said something about the top scorers are all under 25), they're going to make a lot more mistakes, which means more shots against.

Wrong like always.
I’m not wasting my time arguing with a poster like you. If you haven’t noticed I don’t anymore..it’s a waste of anyone’s valuable time.
Others should follow suit and hopefully you’ll start posting on other sites. |

I'm fairly certain that the Leafs are not the only team that does that. |

Meh.
Possibly.
But its only November.
Things could change come march and April.
For now, they won a great game tonight.
Enjoy. |

How's that going to work in the playoffs when the whistles go away and the Leafs are giving up 40+ shots a game?
We all know the Leafs can score. That's not news. But we've also seen a lot of teams put up goals and points in the regular season then hit a brick wall in the playoffs because they didn't or couldn't adapt to the way the game changes in the playoffs. Plenty of President trophy winning teams or teams that led the league in goals got knocked out early because of it. I don't want the Leafs to be one of those teams. |

Take a deep breath and relax, it isn't all doom and gloom like you keep telling everyone it is. You don't need to tell us about it in every thread, not only is it wrong but it's (frank)ing boring. |

That's what I'm saying though. It's November and they're flying high, scoring goals and everybody is happy because they're winning the games. But the real question is, how's that going to work when the games matter? So I'm hoping that they can change over the course of the season and not create these bad habits but pretend like everything is fine just because they got the win because when the playoffs start, if the process doesn't change, the results very well could. |
