There’s been a lot of articles showing that secondary assists fluctuate immensely where primary assists are like goals...they are similar.

False. Marner is really good at creating a goal that nobody else could create. He's making it even easier for an already very good player like Tavares to score an empty net goal.

You could just as easily say players like Hyman get a lot of 2nd assists that any other average, dime a dozen player could get. Marner makes the plays that few others can make. There's a big difference.

I agree. Marner didn't even get an assist on the game winner against BOS on Monday and he created that whole scoring opportunity.

You think Nylander makes more than Tkachuk? He's leading the flames in points, has been one of their best players with Monahan and Gaudreau and plays a more complete game. And doesn't play with their top line. He should be paid more than Nylander
