Marner with yet another primary assist. The man's a beast.
- TrashPanda

Primary assists mean squat imo

Marners in on lots of goals where its all him amd he gets a second assist or even no assist.

That goes for a lot of goals, somone else made the play and get squat.

Jmo

In all seriousness i cant believie Hyman went that way with the puck

I think it means a lot.

There’s been a lot of articles showing that secondary assists fluctuate immensely where primary assists are like goals...they are similar.

False. Marner is really good at creating a goal that nobody else could create. He's making it even easier for an already very good player like Tavares to score an empty net goal.

You could just as easily say players like Hyman get a lot of 2nd assists that any other average, dime a dozen player could get. Marner makes the plays that few others can make. There's a big difference.

I agree. Marner didn't even get an assist on the game winner against BOS on Monday and he created that whole scoring opportunity.

Good. Every game they lose makes Pietrangelo just a little bit more available.

Eh, I dont think the Flames do that trade straight up. They 're really high on him, for good reason.
- david22

He's a damn good player. But Nylander is more skilled, and Tkachuk always runs the risk of doing something dumb.

How about picking up Tyler Bertuzzi left winger to bring a little grit. We keep nylander but trade something else or from Marlies.

Leafs cant afford Nylander as everyone says but can afford Tkachuk who should get paid more than Nylander

I'd say Brown, Nielsen and a second, but we can't do that now

You think Nylander makes more than Tkachuk? He's leading the flames in points, has been one of their best players with Monahan and Gaudreau and plays a more complete game. And doesn't play with their top line. He should be paid more than Nylander

There's more of an upside to playing for the Flames though... They pay in crude oil.
