I seen some of those. Little cheeky. Be harder to pull that stuff in the NHL. He is a player Van needs. Speed to push defenders back. Create space for teammates.

I liked Dahlin then Hughes then boqvist... after that it was bouchard then Dobson.

Bouchard is to slow and Dobson isn't great at anything.

I just think Kakko may pass him. Hughes puts up insane numbers but after spending some time watching him play a few games I wasn’t overly impressed. Given their unique playing style I’m not sure there is room for two Hughes on the canucks. They are super skilled but also a bit selfish on the ice. Kakko would be a superb wingman for EP. Dach and cozens are also having awesome starts to their seasons. It’s going to be a fun draft!

He is starting to seperate himself easily. Kakko is slowing down. Kirby Dach only person keeping up.

I just think Kakko may pass him. Hughes puts up insane numbers but after spending some time watching him play a few games I wasn’t overly impressed. Given their unique playing style I’m not sure there is room for two Hughes on the canucks. They are super skilled but also a bit selfish on the ice. Kakko would be a superb wingman for EP. Dach and cozens are also having awesome starts to their seasons. It’s going to be a fun draft!

Also, seems like a guy who has 2 goals and 12 assists is hard to describe as selfish. I'd be pretty happy with Kakko or Pods, just saying

I mean they don't seem to play many games in the USHL but he's doing pretty well. WJC will be big showcase for him/others

I like Hughes I just don’t think he is a franchise player. He gets tunnel vision on the ice and tries to outskate his problems instead of utilizing his mates. Perhaps those habits will disappear when he has better teammates? I’d be happy with 5 or 6 kids in the top 10. Pretty solid draft. I just think there will be lots of movement and hughes isn’t a lock. We shall see

I've only seen him in the summer showcase and was blown away by both of their vision/passing/skating myself. That said, I haven't watched him otherwise. This isn't a draft where I'm really crazy about a guy yet. I'm seeing a few guys that look really good but are really different style players.
