With his firing today I did wonder if perhaps some of our defensemen were not feeling him. It’s just odd when our best pairing and dmen take steps backwards. Idk. But they both have struggled alone (Provy,Ghost). Especially after Provy claiming he’s healthy and all. Unless he was bluffing.

The way he handled the expansion draft, and many of his trades were the failures. He sucks. Let him rot in jersey.

Same Nutter, want no parts of Fletcher and will be severely disappointed and depressed in he is the new GM. I mean seasons of mediocrity in Minnesota do not get me enthused at all and not sure why he would be top of the list either. Give me Hunter and I'd be happy.

The saving grace is that Rutherford was thought to be a joke before Pittsburgh too.

This is just personal opinion but I’d be down for that Buffalo guy or Hunter. Yzerman the wet dream that’s unlikely to happen.

Fletcher or Francis, what's your choice?

I'm all in on Bill Zito. Not even sure if there is interest from either side, but he seems like a no bs guy. He was GM for Team USA and works with CBJ. Looks like he should be working for WWE. Could scare our pansy group into playing with heart.

I too am interested in what I have heard about Zito. He sounds like an intriguing choice. Fletcher sounds like a typical old guard retread, but to be honest, outside of Yzerman or Francis, I really know nothing about nearly all of these guys.

yzerman would be perfect but its most likely a pipe dream as smart money is him taking over in DET and money most likely isn't a motivator for him.

Let's not forget that Yzerman and Giroux do not get along... (Team Canada BS, a few years ago)... Yzerman would trade Giroux the first chance he got.
