i think they also see other teams making trades, playing their kids and getting better, they see the Rangers being better out the gate of their rebuild. Islanders youth doing well wo JT, the Sens are not doing well but they are scoring and the youth has taken off. Montreal started well and even the Wings are 6-3-1 in their last 10. Now you have other teams like LA and Blues come to mind who have not done as expected. They could have looked at a few teams and wondered why is Hextalls plan taking so long? Why wont he move assets that we have no idea whether they will make it or not.

Exactly.

they didn't need scorched earth. just some flexibility.

What's the point in this question?
He obviously is having a rough go of it so far.

I think Flyers fans are smart. It's not just a failing product. It's the feeling that the current team is neglected for a future that some people might not be around for.

This team has enough talent that maybe a move, without deviating from your draft and develop plan, could make this team more interesting. I feel coming back with the same goalies was a huge factor in fans feeling like there wasn't hope this year.

Fans are smart.

If we had drafted better we could be doing those things too but obviously our great prospects aren't that great.

Going back to the goalie thing.

Robin Lehner costs the Islanders 1.5 for 1 year. Is he a head case. Yeah. But he also has enough upside to win games.

Going into the season with neuvirth and elliott was foolish.

Great musician too. He should’ve been there to break the silence in the flyers locker room after practice today and get the boys spirits up.

... and the one that forced the Bobrovski move is in Nashville.

you'd have to be a moron to get rid of Rinne and Sarros though

Provorov was due for one bad season. He’s had two great first seasons.

I'd take either right now... one of their kids even. One of them has to have a 7 year old daughter who can stop a puck.

that is a concern I have, the Flyers have a deep pool but do they have a can't miss prospect coming up?I think Frost is close to that, I think Ratcliffe could be, Allison if he recovers. Is there any top 6 O in LHV? Is Myers the only real top 4 D prospect in LHV?

T-Hawk illustrated Fletcher's list of transgressions in Minnesota.
After Holmgren hires Fletcher, he can announce the A-Mac extension.

Great post! No sarcasm what so ever.

Hextall was moving in slow motion but the next guy won’t be loyal to anyone. Not Hakstol. Not Simmonds. I think the next guy has to have a record of a little Hextall and a little Holmgren in him. The next guy will have to play ball and make poop happen.

The man who traded Leddy and Johnsson for Barker.

Burns for Setoguchi, Coyle and a 1st.

1st + 2nd for Hanzal.

Richards and Yeo as coaches.
