Welp, it's not like Hakstol hired him. Or any of the other assistants, fwiw. - johndewar
Such a weird change to make with everything going on. |

I'll be curious if they bring up Gordon and reassign Knoblauch to Lehigh. Let him be a lead guy down there and gain that experience there. He is someone I would be ok keeping around as he was talked about a lot before the Flyers hired him as an up and coming guy. |

What if Dave Hakstol is really the Verbal Kint of this entire coup and is really behind Hextall's ouster? |

Both appear to be just speculation at this point. Not saying they ultimately won't be shown to be correct, but there isn't verification yet. - Scoob
I think JvR was traded for Pekka Rinne....see I can make up speculation too!

Maybe they are all getting called to the principals office one at a time...But Murphy would be the last guy i would tell...unless he is the new coach for now... |

Does anyone know why Fletcher lasted less then one season as GM of the Wild as mentioned in the blog? I wasn’t aware that he was there and gone so quickly. A bit of a red flag? |

That makes the most sense if your are turning over the apple cart...although what does gordon do once the new GM comes in? Maybe back down as the coach again...but he gets a cup of coffee with the big team and Knoblaugh holds down the fort... |

He was unyielding. Unyielding. |

I'm glad to see Homer's comments about finding a GM that wants to continue to draft/develop BUT also have an eye towards making necessary moves to keep the team progressing now. Find a happy medium. |

Ha! You picked up on that, too?
Sounded like they gave Hextall multiple opportunities to engage

I interviewed for it. I said I wanted to place the ice girls as the coaches but they thought that Haskel was doing a fine job considering the roster. 🤷♀️ |

He was there 9 years and 3 years before that under Shero.
