I really respect a guy in Hakstol’s shoes that can stand tall amidst the turmoil. No joke.

Hak is the mastermind behind this entire coup d'etat.

Jake, Sinmer, Weal, and a 2nd
For Panarin (resigned) and Nash

- bulet13

Its so much to give up and doesnt address the biggest issue this team has which is goaltending.

Im Im moving Jake and Simmonds I want it to be another Richards and Carter type scenario meaning two different trades with two different returns.

That would make the "Gotta be someone from outside the organ-I-zation" team very unhappy.

I thought their amateur scouts were doing a good job based on farm system rankings. The Chris Pryor firing has me baffled. What direct impact did Pryor have on the current on-ice product? The one area of management I thought would be safe was the scouting staff including Pryor. This just leaves me more worried that Holmgren is going to overreact and mess this up.

What Canadian prospect past the 1st round over the past 7-8 years is on this team? NAK is the closest

Meanwhile ghost, hagg, Lindblom fit that description. Stolarz if he sticks around. Vorobyev if he comes back up.

The Canadian scouting isn’t good

Look at our last draft. Heavy US draft. Our US guys are doing a bang up job

This is like watching a man gasping for breath, and giving him a catheter to tell him it’s going to be okay.

I want Holmgrens head too. Is that possible? If we are goinf scorched earth do it right.

The greatest trick Hakstol ever pulled was convincing the world he was not a good NHL coach.

lol

Part of me would love it if a new GM came in and kept Hakstol and let him pick his own staff.

Holmgren in charge of hiring the GM, as well as possibly making trades before a new GM is named, should really terrify everyone.

The one thing we will never know, is Hextall’s angle on all of this.

We’ve heard only from those who wanted Hextall out.

Look, I get it... Lappy took a freaking PUCK TO THE FACE for this organization. That standing O he got from the tunnel still gives me chills. But, at the very least, he should be removed from overseeing the PK. 3 years in a row... I don't understand.... is it the puck to the face?

It's probably not complicated. Ownership wanted to see more results on the ice.
Hextall wanted to remain patient. A middle ground could probably have been reached to satisfy everyone.

Hextall was far too passive. It's one thing not making panic trades, but bringing back the same goalies after last year was just foolish. Letting the PK die on the vine is unacceptable as well.

No way to know for sure, but Homer's release today with Murphy getting the shiv, after a few of the comments yesterday in the presser that said they have been talking to Hakstol for a month...could be, man
