I still think the best option is to mix up the core a bit. Trade Voracek for either Panarin or Stone....

Maybe trade JVR for the other guy.

Trade Simmonds and Voracek.

Bring back VandeVelde and Rinaldo.

Profit.

Here is how the scenerio is playing in my head:

PH: Ok, Hexy is gone, let's make some changes... get me Nylander.

CP: Toronto is asking for Sanheim, Konecny, Frost, and a pick. There is no way we can afford to throw away this much talent.

PH: Your Fired.

Does anyone know why Fletcher lasted less then one season as GM of the Wild as mentioned in the blog? I wasn’t aware that he was there and gone so quickly. A bit of a red flag?
- Marc D

The blog has him starting after he left. So something is off in that timeline.

so Coots, Provorov and Ghost too because they are absolutely part of the core
- nastyflyergirl

Bye

Obviously, I’m being excessive. I don’t expect them to fire everyone.

With that said, no one should feel safe though, including the above players.

Fletcher was there for 9 years I believe. His contract expired and he was not renewed

I don’t know how I feel about the guy. He sure seems like a front runner the guys teams were in the playoffs consistently. That seems to be the prevailing goal here

He did say on Fan590 that it was always his dream to be the GM on the Flyers since he never got to live out his dream of playing for the Flyers.

Bright side.... our 3c will be filled on draft day next year.
- jmdodgeser4

At this rate it will be our 1C position that gets filled during the next draft.

Need an organizational shakeup. Can some of these Canadian amateur scouts. Not impressed
- Just5

I thought their amateur scouts were doing a good job based on farm system rankings. The Chris Pryor firing has me baffled. What direct impact did Pryor have on the current on-ice product? The one area of management I thought would be safe was the scouting staff including Pryor. This just leaves me more worried that Holmgren is going to overreact and mess this up.
