If we are trading for any d-man it has to be Parayko. Nylander, Guhle, and give the Blues their pick back.

Hard pass, the first round picks are untouchable, except young a+ prospects.

Also from the article:

A 10-game winning streak is enough to vault the Buffalo Sabres to No. 4 in the Super 16 power rankings this week, but clearly there are some skeptics among our 13-member voting panel.

The Sabres were ranked as high as No. 1 by two voters and as low as No. 8 by two others. Three people had them at No. 3, four at No. 4, one at No. 5 and one at No. 6.

The wide range in votes validates a question being asked around the NHL these days:

Do you believe in Buffalo?

The Sabres have nine wins by one goal during their winning streak, including seven that were decided after regulation (four in overtime, three in the shootout). However, during the streak they've defeated four teams that are ranked in the top 11 this week, including the No. 2 Tampa Bay Lightning.

The Sabres made their season debut in the Super 16 at No. 12 on Nov. 15. They climbed to No. 8 last week and leapt four more spots this week.

The Washington Capitals and Colorado Avalanche also made big jumps this week, moving up six spots each. The San Jose Sharks dropped six spots, the biggest tumble of the week.

To create the power rankings, each of the 13 participating staff members put together his or her version of what the Super 16 should look like. Those are submitted and a point total is assigned to each. The team picked first is given 16 points, second gets 15, third gets 14 and so on down to No. 16, which gets one point.

Parayko is young and fits the timeline. Let’s be honest RHD depth in the pipeline is weak. So we’ll probably use that pick on one. So we can wait 3 years for that player to develop or get one now. Nylander still has promise but he’ll be a meh top 9 player and Guhle is a 5 or 6 and we have a ton of those. Parayko is Dahlin’s d-parter the second the ink dries.

Dahlin-Parayko
McCabe-Risto
Beaulieu-Bogosian

Send Scandella away for a 7th for all I care. Tell Hunwick he’s playing on the same team as Lupul, Robidas, and Horton.

Wow is right. Poor Danny. Wished they had held onto him and MacArthur, that will suck if it ended this way. Good on them for at least leveling charges.

This is from the St. Louis Dispatch:

"QUESTION: What is the deal with Parayko?! He was better as a rookie. Does he just not like it here? Because he plays like a guy who wants to be traded.

TOM T.: Actually, I think Parayko has bought a house here. It could be the curse of having a big rookie year -- in his case, it was a big first few weeks -- that lifted expectations. But he has become a minutes-eater, regularly being up there with Pietrangelo for ice time.

The Blues have gone with Pietrangelo and Dunn on the power play a lot, which has cost him some scoring chances, but he also has made some defensive mistakes that have loomed large. But he's certainly not alone on this team in that department. Pretty much everyone on the defense seems to have at least one mistake that's led to a game-winning goal."

Idk, doesn't seem like a first pairing defenseman worth giving up a lot for imo

Fair enough. I don’t watch enough Blues games. But maybe a change of scenery could work for him and Housley and Smith can untap his potential.

He seems like a poor mans Risto to me. He's already 25. I get that he's physical and has skill, but you have to figure he would cost us something we wouldn't want to part with. Samuelsson and a 1st maybe if STL is looking for futures.

Not the trade I make at this time either.

He would be doing considerably better in the stats department if he was here, I'll give you that for sure.

Yeah, I don't either. People mentioned his name before the ROR trade so I did a little bit of research. Most of his highlights on youtube are wild slapshots that hurt people, and most blues fans call him soft. He sounds like Tyler Myers imo

Sabres season progression:

Pre season: It's nice to see the puck actually be in the offensive zone for once

October: Just glad we have a real hockey team

Early November: Its nice to actually win an overtime game or shootout

After Thanksgiving: MOVE female dog, GET OUT THE WAY!
