Sure. Unless he didn't think anyone there would ever make the 50 roster limit. It may be a stupid trade but like the Black Knight would say, tis but a scratch. There were some that acted like he got all four limbs taken off.

if that was the case, the 7th rd pick would have also been traded, based on logic

Figured as much, but good to know.

I'm already looking at scouting reports...guess it's habit for this time of year lol.

Sure makes it more interesting having several picks, along with discussing late 1sts. You're not stuck with the Sam argument or Dahlin or Svech (will we get 1st or 2nd pick) and so on. Yeah, the potential for elite talent drops off, but in recent years there's been a ton of mid 20's hits. No reason the Sabres can't grab a chunk of that.

Remember when Jason traded a 6th rounder for a 6th rounder? He sucks, fire him now.

Half of the guys that go undrafted this year will be better then guys selected in the 6th round last year. Apart from the top 10 last years draft lacked depth. JB won the trade and got buried for it. Quite funny.

Should've forfeited the pick, we'd be better off with nothing.
