That's basically all we have to do from here on out to get to 97 points. 5-4-1 in every 10 game segment from here on out
- jcragcrumple

I get that. Wasn’t really the point I was trying to make. Just basically saying that if we go 2-2 against those teams, we should be in good shape moving forward. If we drop all 4, it’s a major concern. If they lose the 3 to TO, NSH and TBL and only beat Florida, reason for concern. Just my opinion of course. But if they want to be taken seriously, they need to at least get 2 wins out of those 4 games.

1 person responded to your post and said “very true”

3 people responded to your post as in the nature of wet blanket (you recognized 2, the third noted you “went a long way to find the dark side”).

It speaks for itself.

The fact that 3 people saw "not changing expectations during a hella fun win streak" (note, i included it going both ways, not just winning) as a dark cloud or wet blanket says more about those three.

Nothing in that post was direct criticism of the team, who have been great fun to watch. The post was strictly about expectations. If they continue to out perform the expectations that were set at the beginning of the year, that's great. If they miss out, that's okay too. Doesn't mean im not enjoying the winning, or that i don't think they're good or think they can't be good.

We did already beat Tampa, but that game was a nail biter for sure and we definitely got outplayed. At the end of the season, it doesn’t really matter, because the +1 we got in the W column is all that does. However, they need to come out and show better this time around.

For whatever reason it seems like we struggle against Nashville every year (I could be wrong, but it sure seems that way to me). So getting a W against them would be nice. We also have had a tendency to go to Florida and look like a pee wee team, even when Florida isn’t good. This could be a trap game as well, since Florida has been struggling for the most part this season.

Toronto scares me, to be honest. Matthews is due back any day now as well. Also possible Nylander could be signed by then, since the rumor is he’ll sign before the deadline.

Seems like 1 of the keys is going to be getting to OT often. Their luck will even out a bit, but the extra points add up quickly. It's a great feeling getting to OT and not seeing Lehner in net.

How does the top 10 protected Blues 2019 1st we got for ROR work if the blues keep it up this year?

You know what, do you. The Sabres have won 10 in a row. That makes me happy. If what I post makes you unhappy, you may choose to ignore me.

maybe im wrong, maybe we should set higher expectations. maybe they will outpace certain flaws. Who knows. I expressed an opinion regarding expectations, nothing more nothing less.

I've enjoyed the winning, I have full confidence in GMJB and I think Dahlin is the truth baby ruth.

Do you worst, I'm out.

I hate that so much. I always felt that way about Atlanta as well. It's a very tough stretch of 4 games, no doubt.

Eichel's had some crazy games in Nashville. 5 points last year and the amazing OT winner the year before.

3 of the next 4 are against teams we’re fighting for 1st place with. So I think these next 4 will be pretty telling. Personally, I’d like to see them go at least 2-2 in those. But I said the same thing when they had to play Tampa, Winnipeg, Minnesota and Pittsburgh so.....

Advanced stats: 3 wet blankets, 1 very true.

You decide, Fonzarelli.

Normal stat. We won 10 in a row, and are approaching December with the best record in the NHL.

Sabres on the plus in the league.

Hey, I was cautious when I said they'd finish around .500 and be a bubble playoff team. I couldn't be happier at this point.
