I don’t agree with the firing but I think whoever takes over will be left in a great position. Hopefully this next someone isn’t hushing Philadelphia to just be patient and works like he has two decades to win us a Cup.

To a point. If I'm the GM, you hired me to build the team. I'd want to do it my way, not yours. If the boss wants to run the team then run it. Hextall did not in any way mislead anyone on what his plan was.

If he sold them on a 5 year plan and wasn't making win now trades in year 4 then he's a fool. I don't think Hextall's a fool. I think management caved to pressure. Just my opinion.

If pressure came down, it's not because of the current record which is really not horrible. It's the way they're losing and the way they're playing right now.

We should be a lot better team than our record shows but our record is what it is. This is the reality. Absolutely. We have players. We have talent in the pipeline. We don’t however have a trustworthy system and depth. Lehtera, Weal, Weise, Folin, MacDonald 8 billion a season, Michael Raffl being roled on to the ice in a wheelchair every season. Three guys I wouldn’t be excited about if they delivered me a free pizza playing goal. Honestly, This is the equivalent of having sex with a cheese grater. This sucks. Our Coach is clueless and Hextall went down with the ship for him.

This is fixable but right now this team sucks. They had a plan when Hextall was hired as assistant GM. The Flyers have no more plan.

I don’t care how stupid you guys think I am. The more patient we as fans we were expected to be, always lead to this moment.

I'm the same and I don't like this move. That could change if the next GM is a hockey genius.

I got one of my good college buds into the flyers during our time on campus together but he doesn't really know much about the history of the team so he was aksing who might replace Hexy and I said Homer who was the GM before him (on an interim basis) and my friend goes "Ah the one who bungled the cap but got to the cup?" And honestly that's the best description of Homers tenure I've ever heard

There is nothing dramatic about what I'm saying. Players, notably the leadership also have a lot to do with a team buying in.

I’m terrified. Don’t really know what type of GM they are going to bring in or what their willing to do to become “competitive”. I understand both sides of the coin today though
