The only time the NHL makes national news is when someone is about to get a 10 game or more suspension, or when Gritty does anything.

I'm hoping all NHL teams invite Gritty to attend their games. He should be the first true traveling mascot.

No he's not. McD can't make average players that play on his line better like Crosby has done for several years with many different average players? The answer is NO as he needs Draisaitl or RNH on his line to pad his stats. If stats alone make a player the best then its MCD, but what has his team ever won and how are the Oilers doing this season?

From a production and electrifying skill + speed standpoint, it's now McDavid. I still think Crosby does quite a few things better but overall when you compare players it's usually on production/stats and sometimes individual awards, both of which McDavid excels over Crosby in now.

Having said all of that if the playoffs were starting tomorrow and I had to chose one of the players for my team, it would be Crosby.

If I had to chose one to build a franchise now and for the future I'd go with the guy 10 years younger.

Thanks buddy... the big ice surface and the lousy atmosphere/crowd was somehow frightening, but that was one of the biggest moments in history of Germany hockey (still remember that shootout puck laying on the line in Albertville '92)... and we were so Very(!) near to beat that filthy Russians as well.
