skinner camp wants 9

will settle for low 8 if 8 years, from what I am hearing so it's really about term and signing bonus now

both sides wants him here long term

This is good to hear.

8x8 would be ideal. He’s pretty comparable to Draisatil imo. With Eichel, Skinner is unbelievable. Without Eichel he can hold his own but wouldn’t be an $8M player.

I'd be very pleased to have him at 8X8.

I don't think he'd going to go anywhere and I'm not even going to worry about it. His success right now is a great thing for him and the team and I don't want to fall down that rabbit hole of thinking: "if he scores too much we won't be able to afford him."

If he's reasonable, he will want to stay with this young team and be part of the next 5 plus years here. Everything I've heard and read to this point suggests this is what he wants.

How is everyone feeling about the next 5 games? Obviously none of them are a lock but when they play top teams, they win...when they play middling teams, they win...when they play lower teams, they win!
I feel like 2-2-1 is a solid 5 game run against the likes of the Sharks, Lafs, Preds, Panthers and Lightening. I'm still so conflicted on how to feel about this team. I am thrilled for the past 9 games and yet feel like a let down is in the offing. It's gonna happen but I'd truly love it if that let down could come maybe a bit further down the road. Eh, at the moment, who cares?! Sabres on the warpath baby!

From BuffNews-

Buffalo Sabres winger Conor Sheary will be a game-time decision Tuesday against the San Jose Sharks after leaving practice early Monday at KeyBank Center, coach Phil Housley told reporters.

I think we can beat all of them really. But this unbelievable ride has to come to an end sometime, so lets go with 3 wins in the next 5.. I would be totally happy with that.

how are you "hearing" all of this if they aren't even set to START talking contract extension until around Christmas, as it was recently reported by Pierre Lebrun?

When you consider we're paying $9.65 mill for Skinner and for Moulson to play for an AHL team in California, paying $8 mill for Skinner and the other 1.65 on literally anything else makes it seem like a pretty good deal

Moulson is the last guy you want to mention when negotiating for a contract with too much term.

Can we all finally agree that I was right, even though I don't nor needed to be right that Tiny Tim Murray was a beady eyed douchebag of heaping failure.

So so many of you bought into his drunken, cocky bs.

I never did.

I never blamed Tim Murray for at least trying to make trades. My prob was he over payed for ALL of them.

I'd really like to see these guys break the team record for wins. I feel like it could be a milestone we could all look back on. I honestly feel like they can beat any team in this league right now, as evidenced by hovering around 1st-4th in the league. But, sooner or later, they're gonna lose a game. And obviously, that's when we should trade everyone/declare them busts, etc...

Please dont expect a let down. Be positive. Enjoy the ride.

You can enjoy the ride and be realistic at the same time. Breaking the record for wins??? They'd have to pretty much keep this pace for the entire season.

Can we all finally agree that I was flat wrong, even though I never admitted it and claimed to be right that Mike Weber was nothing but a nice lunch pail guy but still a heaping failure.

So so many of you told me and I responded with cocky bs.

I never did properly evaluate the guy.
