At this point, I think we could offer a prospect and a pick and get Chychrun or OEL from Phoenix....

what in the balls are they doing down there.

Strome is a bust and Perlini is meh. Schmaltz is the currently the best player in the deal. Now if Strome and Perlini can figure it out then Chayaka would look like a stooge.

Also terrible to here Hextall get fired for assembling a top 5 prospect pool even with Provorov and Konecny graduated. JVR signing doesn’t look spectacular but I’m sure in time it will work out. Goaltending was his shortfall ironically. Still thought the coach was in way over his head and should have been the first to go.
- Pegullaville

I've heard people say on Twitter that this was a "fall on your sword" type moment for Hextall that he was feeling the heat to fire the coach or make a big trade or blow something up and he just refused to so he basically was fired instead.

Maybe? Anyone else heard something similar?

I wonder what we would move for Namnitsnikov. He hasn’t been anything special since being moved off of a line with Stammer and Kucherov in his Tampa days. He can play C/LW and has speed however. As long as the Rangers want futures.
- Pegullaville

We would have to move 2 roster players out just to avoid waiving anyone if everyone is healthy when Berglund and Wilson get back, and if they brought in Namestnikov.

As it stands now, someone will be waived if no one gets hurt before those two get back

Wilson, Elie, and a couple 2nds?

I just haven't been a fan of a lot of their moves lately..

Trading for Kruger.
Trading away Perlini and Strome
Trading away Domi for Galy
Taking Hossa from Chicago to help them.
Taking Datysuk from Detroit to help them (I know they got Chychrun but still)
Practically gave away Boedker
Gave away Stone.

They are a team that I thought had the best young talent in the NHL and they just seem to always be needing to "turn over the roster" or "get a fresh start".

e-rod, nelson and a mid pick?

if you assume nelson is not going to be a fixture in the top 4, and he wont

it's an upgrade for our top 9 and frees up a roster spot

Panthers no question. But Yotes are up there. Edmonton wasting McDavid alone is also up there.

is anyone else getting a little nervous out there regarding not being able to sign Skinner? If he keeps up this pace and say he scores 45 + 30, There is some team out there that will offer 9-10 large for that... i don't think the Sabres are going to go that high. Come trade deadline time if he is not signed, do you trade him? I think you kinda have to right???

Theres only so many teams that could fit him in cap wiase and then only so many of those teams(if any) that have a center of Eichels caliber for him to play with. If he really wants money, theres nothing we can do about it. If he wants dame good money and success, he stays here. Thats all there is to it.

Yes, but then this board wouldn't have to hear about how

"if Botterill wanted to get faster,
why take Berglund back
U can't answer that"

biggest needs imo right now

puck moving LD

second line center or LW

if you waive/trade scandellla

pilut and olofsson could fix the problems

- homiedclown

We should try to get Hertl out of San Jose for this.
