Who needs them when Allen can just run for 100 yards?.....I would have to think the Bills address the WR need at the draft

Allen has looked really good and not just with his feet.

If you watch the game and not the stat sheet his WR's are killing him again.

He is making throws you need from your QB and his WR's are dropping balls. He is using the pocket pretty good and stepping up into it.

Yes most of his yards came on 1 throw but again that throw was a throw no Bills QB could make since Kelly.

Oh and Shaq Lawson wins player of the game for me getting Fournette thrown out. That completely changed this game.

My takeaway from last night is that being fast (and ideally skilled) is the fastest way to get good in this league. Everyone thought Vegas was going to stink last year and the same for the Red Wings this year.

That said.....

- At times Okposo was completely overwhelmed last night. There were several shifts where play went back and forth in the neutral zone and he looked plain awful when he has to stop and start again. He is ok once he gets going and on the PP but other times we get a look at what the future is going to be like.
- I'll take Elie all day long over Gus. His speed and tenacity is impressive.
- While guys like Pommer and Bogo have enjoyed a bit of a rebirth we are going to be much better when we bring in new younger guys in the next year or so. Bogo looks worlds better this year but he makes one or two major mistakes a game that they can't always overcome.

- Slump Buster

I respectfully disagree on Gus Vs. Elie. Elie runs around too much and looks out of control a lot.

Bogo. Watch any defenseman, on any team, and they all make a major mistake or two. The talent level in the league is so close these days, player vs. player, team vs. team. For the 23 elite to great to good to mediocre players we have, every other team has them, and they all make the same mistakes.

I wonder how effective Wilson would even be right away?

I wouldn’t hate just moving on from him to be honest

- sbroads24

He has a bit more offensive flourish than Larrson. I expect a line of Wilson-Erod-Girgs (adjust the center as you like) will add a nice scoring touch, while still being good defensively.

For me, waiving Elie to make room for Wilson is a no brainer. After that, it'll be interesting to see how they handle the roster if everyone is healthy when Berglund gets back. My guess is they waive/trade Girgensons. Of course there could be an injury between now and then

I’m sorry bud, there’s 0 chance Larsson is taken out

I guess we'll see. He still needs to produce somewhat offensively, and Wilson is a clear upgrade in that regard. Their defensive prowess is at least comparable.

I think he'll stay on the roster for sure, but he's not immune to a scratch, similar to Girgs and Erod

There is no good reason to take out 22 for a guy who has yet to play this year, the forecheck he put on vs mtl on the power play was excellent, need guys like that on this team.

I'm not saying right away, but Wilson is a defensively responsible forward who can put the puck in the net. The latter part is Larsson's weakness. People also forget that Wilson can play center

Wilson averages 9 goals per 82. And a big reason was getting top 6 minutes last year

Larsson averages 7 per 82

It’s not really an upgrade

Lol, pretty funny that last year, I used Wilson as an excuse for ROR, and now you're using ROR as an excuse for Larsson

Not really, I’m using his ice time.

He played more last year than any other year

He actually was worse shooting last year with O’Reilly than his career average

I don't see a big difference between Wilson and Elie. I think Girgs is a cut above them. Rotating them is fine, but there's a numbers game to deal with when the team is too healthy....never thought we'd be talking about this.

Larsson isn't moving.

I saw Elie, aside from one nice play he made, run around and get rid of the puck to nowhere almost every time he had it. Girgensons, Larsson, and Wilson from last year are all better overall.

I've seen Elie play well in the past. I don't judge too heavily when he plays once a month. He was a better player than Girgs, Larsson, and Wilson last year. Today, Larsson is a clear cut above. The rest will sort itself out.

Yeah I think he was a fine waiver pick up, and overall a much better 13th forward than guys we’ve previously had, but he isn’t playing over 28,22,71, or even Wilson who honestly I have almost no interest in

Elie tries real hard but doesn't have much talent. Larsson is the #1 PK forward and will not be removed from the lineup. He also generates a really good amount of opportunities for the 4th line. I know he only converted one but was close 3 or 4 other times

I know you're a huge Larsson fan, but Wilson is a Botts guy, and Larsson isnt

I am NOT a Larsson fan but you have to be smoking some of that JD Fitz stubborn bud if you think Larsson is coming out of the lineup with the way he’s playing.

It's funny. I honestly think he was the worst regular player in the NHL last season. He turned me around this year, but a big part is the giant defensive void the top 9 creates. I thought Berlund or Sobotka would fill it. It's working right now, but I don't think it's ideal long term.

Most of these guys are just transitional players. I'm not too attached to any of them.

It’s really as simple as, Larsson is playing well, and Wilson is a borderline nothing player.

Eh, I don't think Larsson is anywhere near untouchable when it comes to getting scratched. People have raved about Girgs and he's been scratched several times
