Cleary Kane doesn’t seem to want to be on a Toews line. Hossa retiring was the biggest loss for this team. Clearly he made life for Toews a lot easier.
Imagine if Crosby or Malkin had Hossa riding shotgun for 6-7 years straight.
Even though Hossa never had huge playoffs Im starting to think he might have been the most important piece to the cup runs. Clearly was the teams and best 2 way forward.
Need to trade every veteran you can at the deadline. Just not sure I trust Bowman to make the right trades. - bhawks2241
Hossa was so good and the guy had such a great motor. He never stopped before the whistle blew. Definitely a big loss - and cap space Stan hasn't used, BTW.
I don't know if Kane wants to be with Toews or not, but the bottom line is that his production has dropped and so has the teams. Put him with AA and ADB as others have suggested. Try Schmaltz with Toews and Saad, maybe that would get him going. |

I’d put Kahun back with Saad and Toews. He has a motor and retrieves pucks and solid at maintaining possession speed and quick feet. Fits nicely with Saad and Toews cycle power game.

There you go, talent team to team is so close for most of 25 teams.... - TrueGrit
This one, unfortunately, is one of the other 6..

Does Gus close his eyes when he shoots the puck? |

Well finally it looks like we're in agreement we stink.
Honestly believe we're 1 to 5 of the worst team. We're several years away from being in a playoff poistion. Overall prospects not good.
Q had to go but I would have waited to the end of year. Let JC coach the young guys another year on the farm .
Bowman has to go sorry but he has made to many blunders.
Feel bad for Keith he is 35 has played a ton of hockey and I don't think we would have 3 cups without him .
He shouldn't be expected to still be a no 1. |

OK...you keep worshiping at the alter of Q. Only Chicago fans can pass the buck of responsibility of players and coach to the GM. As if he were fired, the group would change how they play.
SB biggest mistake, believing his core would continue playing at a high level. A mistake most of us would have made.
How useful would Kempny be right now? John Carlson, elite top 2 defensemen in Washington loves playing with Kempny. - TrueGrit
LOL where did I say I worship Q? Trust me, you stink at reading my mind.
Clearly, any honest person would admit Q was NOT the problem with this team.
The GM signs players, not the coach.
Your boy Hayden ignored the center of the ice, and allowed a goal. Right now, he belongs in the AHL. |

Hawks play Defence like Pond Hockey -
No one touches anyone in front of their net - it’s a free for all in front of Ward |

Kane going right to the net. Still don’t like him on that line.
Why does our 4th line go out right after. Kill the momentum. |

You guys keep believing that Q was a poor victim.
Do you all really believe that SB and managment wanted to sign half the guys they did?
I must live in an alternate universe. No one has anwers for the low hanging fruit of Kempny and Daly.... |

Edzo's telestrating of the last goal, 84 and 40 are to blame for the wide open McCann scoring. - I Am The Breadman
Edzo has lost his mind. Gus loses the puck, in the offensive zone, trying to stickhandle through the whole Florida team. Totally out of the play. Then freakin’ LOAFS back. Gus is a disgrace! Juki dorsn’t play as an odd-man break. Whole situation turns my stomach,

Good God can this team EVER body check anyone?
What was that, almost two minute cycle before the goal?
Then the first line blows even their stick check coverage..... |

Hawks to pp. Unsportsmanlike.
Wow, all 2 minutes in the o zone and not a lot.
4-2 after the pp though. |
