Are you saying we need patience.😀
I agree though, a player shouldn't be judged until that age range, unfortuneately, we like to write off players at 19.
My biggest concern with Goldobin, jas always been his play choices, offensively and defensively.
Hopefully he has turned the corner.

Have always had the same thoughts about JV. Maybe they don't live up to where exactly they are drafted but even in the case of JV, he is improving. Who knows where he ends up.

lol don't see a scenario where we can win this game with our present line up.

5-4 SJ in OT we finally steal a point.

Pettersson Hatty.

Marky snaps.

- LordHumungous

Nilsson is playing I thought.

Great. Some devestating weather in Liguria. We were in a town called Bocadasse hours before a huge storm hurled fishing boats to shore and felled trees and houses. Tuscany was great, I can confirm that the tower in Pisa does indeed lean, significantly! Had an incredible lunch in San Gimignano. Milan was so busy, saw the usual historic sights.

Who cares about the site seeing, how was the wine??

Joking, I would love to take my wife to see Italy, and we are both heavy consumers of their wine

Tanev with a hatty would be incredible.
I am assuming Nilsson starts Tonight, so I picked Canucks for a win.
Been impressed with your boy, Goldobin, the past couple games, hopefully he can continue his relatively decent play, as we badly need another top 6 forward.
Having 6 decent forwards, when healthy, Horvat, Eli, Brock, Sven, Goldobin, Jake, is at least an entertaining too watch, without a couple of them, not so much.
Still like the effort of the team over the past several games, other than Pouliot.

You don't think Nily gets the "easier" game against the Kings?

It’s the Canucks, there are no easy games. It’s other teams that say let’s put in so and so, it’s the easier game.

You know, we did have some interesting things. We tried to drink the local stuff wherever we were.

In Liguria we drank a lot of Vermintino. Best bottle was a tiny DOC I had never heard of, local name for Vermintino is Pigato. Rich and viscous white, aromatic, no oak. But at the same time we had our fair share of busts too. Best red was a super Tuscan, Sangioveto, older vintage, forget the producers name. But ate at plenty of places where you just quaff the house wine, which was always decent.

Just that the Kings are having trouble scoring goals. I guess it comes back to who's confidence do you want to boost?

Here's something that should fuel the hate.

A few months back we switched cell phone providers. Had been with Rogers for 10+ years, but on our family plan we paid about $160 for two phones, 300 minutes and 3 GB of data (shared).

Our new provider, Public Mobile, is WAY less expensive. Like half as much, for more service. But, they have no coverage in Europe. So while we were travelling my wife bought a SIM card with a local provider. Cost of the card aside, the service is 10 euros (about $15) for one month which includes unlimited calling in the EU and 200 long distance minutes plus 30 GB of data.

Canadian communication companies are robbing us blind!

Hey I have a question about house wines in Italy...

Some friends were there a few years back and claimed that many of the top end-mid level eateries/restaurants just have the house wines trucked in directly to the establishments like in large vats and such. They actually bypass the whole bottling process and just run taps from these vats and fill the glasses as needed. They said the wine tasted super fresh from skipping the bottling process. They basically just dump these wines right from the storage barrels into large vats to be shipped to whatever establishments. Just wondered if you ever heard anything similar?

I'm on ATT in the States: unlimited texting and calling to the USA, Canada, and Mexico, 5GB of data (plus rollover if I don't use it all that month), and my data and calls work while I'm traveling in Canada and Mexico. $40 a month, no contract

I'm sure there are places that do something like that. It would be like the wine on tap systems you see here, we use 20l kegsand Nitrogen to push the wine/replace the space inside the keg. But gravity works well too.

The house wine was typically pretty good. Like under $10/bottle and pretty tasty.

Guy gets 61 points playing with Matthews and everyone is calling him the next big thing. I wouldn't trade anyone of Boeser, EP, or Horvat for him. They all have better stats playing with Motte and Boucher.
- pker2theend

How many games has matthews played? Answer:a lot less than will. You can make the argument that he’s a power play specialist but he’s one of the most productive ones around and can not lay the point which we sorely need. Any trade that’s not 1st or one of the young core I’m fine with

Morning to you Ruby. I don't think the Canucks actually win tonight but you know what 6-5. Tanev with a hatty.

Was it you saying how “bad” San Jose is this year

Sharks are a wrecking ball of a team, this has shutout written all over it. 3 or 4-0

Sooo much hockey on TV today. Yay!

Programming note: the Canucks vs. Sharks game starts at a most-unusual 6 p.m. And Nilsson is back.

That and more in the new blog:
