Been saying this for a year. The difference is 3 years, $10m and a potential trade chip.

so...watching the hitlites:

Fire Green = hire Quenville.

Move on from Markstrom (but it's really not his fault at all lol)

Pool-a-loot to Utica.

What am I missing so far?

Shutting up.

Gonna go ahead and disagree. Watching him, you can see he has way more creativity and skill than Baertschi.

Hes a 25 goal, 55-60 point guy in his prime. You keep him.

I agree with this. I know we might be the minority with Goldobin, but I think he is the best playmaker outside of Pettersson on the team. He needs work defensively, like most prospects do, but I think he has unreal creativity and vision, which today's game is driven by when it comes to forwards. Pettersson and Boeser have the shot, Virtanen and Horvat have the drive, Goldy has the playmaking

Not that I'm a staunch supporter or Green, but what's the big call to fire him? This team wasn't supposed to be good from the start, and they've been missing two of their top six wingers, and their bottom two heavy-lifting centers. Plus Edler. I'm not sure what another coach could get out of this team more than he is?

Agree about Poo-poo though. He's been given enough rope, time to send him down. Leipsic as well, Gagner has done more in his 2 games up than he has to this point.

They will probably trade both those guys (and a pick) for another kid who isn’t living up to his potential with another team.

A lot of Markstrom hate on Twitter, he was hardly the issue last night, but everyone needs a scapegoat I guess.

Given that this is his first FULL season (85 games under his belt so far) and is scoring at a 51 point pace, I'd take my assessment over yours

He's still not a number 1. If Ryan Miller stayed, I'd say the Canucks would definitely have a few more wins.

Demko will be here by the TDL.....

Whether he's a true number one or not is irrelevant, he's not, more like a 1B, the fact is, he's their starting goaltender and he's one of many issues from time to time.

If people are going to call out Markstrom constantly then they should be consistent and call out every other contributing factor as well.

A lot of guys are not good enough on a nightly basis, Markstrom had some great saves last night and kept the Canucks poopty defensive coverage from losing 7-3.

Exactly. Markstrom isn't the answer to their woes, but he's pretty far from being the sole problem.

I dont care really. The Canucks need a better goalie and every team builds from the net out (or thats the way I feel it should be). I dont care how bad the rest of the team is, a better goalie instills confidence and buys the rest of the team to grow into their abilities.

I like Markstrom, but hes not good.....

The defense is brutal and not enough skill up front.
