What do the Leafs, Lightning, Blue Jackets and Avalanche have in common? None of these teams have won anything.
- Z3Hawk

A. They haven’t won anything YET. They’re all a hell of a lot closer to contention than we currently are.

B. I like how you completely ignored the part of that post about the Penguins(Crosby and Malkin) and Hawks(Kane and Toews). Did those teams end up winning anything? I’d say the sucking and subsequent drafting in the top 5 payed off just a tad in those instances wouldn’t you?

Hawks need a trip to Oz so Schmaltz can find his courage/heart. Maybe Oz has a 2C, Top 6 W and 2 Top 4 Dmen??

Ok smart guy you tell me then, without taking anyone’s advice, do the Hawks have a lot of under 23 game changing/all-star level talent compared to most other teams?

Answer: no

He's a Bowman pick. Euro Charmin and U.S. development WANKS....that's the M/O of our brilliant brain trust.
- philco28

Questiom is, can Bowman eat some humble pie and move on? Crawford's star proven playoff and Schmautz at a cheap price should be used for a picks or move up. Difficult to assess whether this could occur. Premature right now.

Thanks ! Just going on Blowman's track record. Outside of Clendening, Dalhquist and maybe some other bum i can't think of now, our GM has yet to draft a LEGIT....not even TOP 4....but TOP 6 D-MAN. That's a MAJOR WHIFF by Stan and the scouts. But the keep the faith in Jokiharwho....i'm sure he'll make us proud.
- philco28

What's the point of all the CAPS you use?
Great, you've decided a 19 yr old, 22 games into career is a bust. I'll give Him a bit more time cause ...so far he looks really good.
Please, with all your wisdom, tell us all what dman in this ENTIRE league makes no mistakes....rookie or veteran.
See what I did there?

We all know you need to give a teenager 23 games before writing him off. Tomorrow’s game will be very telling.

He'll suck of course, well, cause he sucks....or so we've been told.
Then Stan can waive him to FINALLY be rid of this 19 Yr Old ALBATROSS!!!
Roster spot can be taken by somebody that HITS and FIGHTS
TURNS OUT, I LOVE CAPS!!!!!!!

You have complained bitterly about the Hawks giving away prospects to "sweeten" deals and yet you want to see them go to this well again? Moving Seabrook's contract without sacrificing a good player currently on the team, a high end prospect or a top draft pick ain't gonna happen. Besides that why would Seabrook agree to go to a bad poorly managed hockey team in Edmonton? Have you ever been to Edmonton?

Exactlygreat points . You can throw in Washington too OV and Backstrom. I'm not saying tanking on purpose cause there is no guarantee a top draft picks will turn out . Baker and Skille are examples but you need top picks .
The Hawks prospects at this time are not considereal highly compared to most other teams.

I would only answer this in the context the 'Hawks signed him to his current contract fully with the knowledge he would eventually be an elder skatesman, ultimately being an on-ice coach/#7 defenseman who would not get traded.
But, if he were traded, it would be Seabrook + Rutta/Davidson for a later than 2nd round draft choice, noting his salary would be a huge factor.

Maybe Lucic? One bad contract for another. Seabrook at this point is the better player so I doubt it gets done.

Wow, you really dissect everything with a fine tooth comb lol.

I'll keep it lower case here, just for you.

Jokiharwho has potential, but his defending was soft on that goal in question.
Lot of d-Men make mistakes, but his effort was weak and it cost the Hawks their momentum. But stick with him, he'll do you proud.

P.S. Bowman still can't draft d-men.
