Four goals against and I still think I’d vote for Crawford as the hawks’ number one star for the game.

As much as I don’t want to give up one NS, I would flip him for Nylander if the cost was reasonable. NS reminds me of the little kid who can stickhandle and skate circles around the other players, but just can’t get into the paint because he is so adverse to contact. If that’s all he’s going to do, I’d take a slightly better offensive player at the expense of NS’s “total” game.

Schmaltz alone probably doesn't get you Nylander. But I'm with you, if Schmaltz and a pick/lower prospect brings back Nylander, I do it.
Schmaltz is a figure skater. Not a hockey player.

Maybe Duncan Keith on the tank train. He's been on the ice for all 4 goals.

Smith-pelley, 4-2. Keeping the 2 goal defecit. Nice play at center ice by Kempny.

Kempny is looking pretty good tonight. Too bad his skill set didn’t fit the hawks.

No. Was still in training when the Vietnam drawdown was going on. When I got my orders it was tobjoin a unit that was pulling out of Vietnam and joined them in South Korea.

Ahhh, I got you.
I ask because when I was at my first university, I was in a course called Vietnam Literature. 1 of my favorite classes I took. The professor was in Vietnam, that's why I ask.
He brought 1 of his war buddies to a class, and I was the only 1 of 10 students to thank him for his service. He told me don't say thanks, say welcome home.

Goon analogy. Know it would take more that Schmaltz.....just a question of how much more.

We didn’t even get a “welcome home” back then. Were specifically told to stay out of uniform when off base in the states. Different world back then.

Lots and lots of respect for the guys in now. Think they are getting screwed over through all the redeployments....

Usually hook up with a lot of active duty guys every year when I vacation in Hawaii. One of my favorite places in the world and have a life-long friend (a native Hawaiian) that still lives there. We always golf one round at one of the military courses there. About 20% of oahu is active duty military....you don’t go anywhere without running into them. What a great bunch of people to sit and talk with and share generational stories

In early 90s I was at a restaurant for a birthday party for one of my grandmothers. Her son — my uncle — was locked out of a busy restroom —- making those lilttle jump steps and hop from one foot to another when you really have to relieve yourself. He eventually came back to the table and started regaling all of us how he had been taught in basic training at the start of WW2 to use one sheet of toilet paper. Though it was hilarious because I got the same lesson 30 years later. Bet they are still teaching it today.

Auto correct changed “good” to “goon” and I didn’t catch it. Schmaltz probably wouldn’t even watch the Goonies!

Depends on where you are ... different today, yes, but there are still plenty of a holes who think it's cool to show disrespect and hate towards those serving.
My teacher goes up to Hawaii. Sounds like some funny stories!

It ain’t pretty but looks like the hawks — toews especially — starting to look like they give a little sh*t! Too little and too late,

Schmaltz skates well....passes well. But he doesnt do the things a "hockey player " needs to do, to win. He plays a perimeter game and avoids contact. Some will say Kane does the same, but I've seen kane take a hit to make a play. Schmaltz never does. Plus, Kane puts up points, year after year. Schmaltz only seems to get points when he plays with Kane.

Outshout the champs in their barn, so there's that.

Jokiharwho can't let that pass be centered on the 4-2 goal.
WEAK. LAME. Another Bowman pick.

Normally, if you outshoot, you lose. At least that's how it goes for us.

Out-statted them - but very perimeter - no net presence - Holtby rarely bothered.

Both goals were individual efforts - no team goals.
