Michael Pachla: Plenty of anticipation at KeyBank Center tonight as the Sabres host Philly

This probably sounds lame and negative, but I really view this is as a huge game. They draw the AHL goaltender at home They have to come away with 2 points tonight - take advantage. I'm excited about this team, but also know it's going to get tougher as the season progresses, and these points now are huge!!!

I think it simply makes us better, that swap out. Rather it was Thompson to leave Bergs on the 4th line, but I'll take it as a step in the right direction.

Had to figure they wouldn't pull Thompson after scoring his first.

I’m still not used to looking at a game thinking “well we should definitely win this one”

Let’s hope they deliver, we may have used up most of our puck luck on that road trip but I really want a win tonight
