Lindblom 13:04 TOI/GP
JvR 13:22 TOI/GP
Imagine the damage JvR could do if he played 18 seconds less a game... |

So JvR should be moved up because he makes 6 million more than Lindblom? Might as well move Provorov down to the 3rd pairing and have MacDonald and Gudas as the top pair.... - Glak18
no but give JVR more TOI because he was one of the best players on the ice last 2 games. |

don't care how Hak does it, spot him some extra shifts for Lindbolm but JVR was physical, got to the net, made plays and played with an edge last game. |

No. Coots isn't generating enough offense for a 1C he needs to go back to his natural spot at 3C |

I know JVR played some RW with Toronto so I wouldn't be opposed to switching him with TK but I really like that first line as is - ajw12
Yes, if there is injuries throughout the season we may see some different combos. I don’t know about JVR, but a good few of the Flyers top wingers can play both sides equally well. G, TK, Lindy for sure. Gives a little flexibility. |

Yeah he did play with excellent energy and deserves more ice time. My point being was what "line number" or who they play with doesn't always dictate ice time. |

I remember going to a game against NJ and he picked a fight with Kovalchuck and got one punched to the ice...
- landros 2
Kovalchuk is 235 lbs and he caught him with a full pulled back wind up. Unless your face is made of Manhatten Island bedrock, youre going down on a shot like that. |

Oh we are just talking the Tampa game...
JvR 17:16
Lindblom 12:37
I really don't understand, he played almost 5 more minutes in the game, but if you put him on another line that changes things? |

Repost:
Looking at the goal differential for the Flyers, they really aren't excelling at anything.
Even Strength: +2
Man Advantage: +4
Short Handed: -15
Clearly their special teams needs to get better, but so does their even strength. Just giving up way too many goals all around. Just as a quick comparison, here is Nashville.
Even Strength: +17
Man Advantage: +8
Short Handed: -3 - Glak18
Honestly, the +2 at 5v5 is very positive and they have been steadily improving in this area the last few years. Hak doesnt get credit for this and its a shame because it gets over shadowed by the ineptness of the PK. MJL argues that the PK issues are more on the players not executing, and to extent he's correct, but if they ve improved defensivly 5v5 it doesnt make sense that theyre so poor 4v5. This is why Lappy has to go.

Obviously being a plus at even strength is good and would be much better if special teams was better. Even though they score 5 on 5, they get scored on a lot too.
So yes, if special teams got better then 5 on 5 is no concern, but they still have to get tighter defensively all around. |

I see no issues. JvR is going to be used the same no matter the line he is on. The more PP time they get, the more ice he gets. Even strength minutes for the most part is going to be spread out. If JvR is on the line with Patrick, does that mean Weal drives his line? Scary thought. |

Yep I see JvR here is like Kessel in Pittsburgh. They get the extra ice when PP's happen. |
