Crew low key calling out Hex. Won’t do anything but nice to see. I guess. - flyer_nutter
They may be corporate shills but what happens if they don't say anything bad after games like that. People turn the channel after the game automatically and they lose ratings and money. |

Now you're being disingenuous because you know I'm right. Nothing I'm saying is in bad faith. The issue was not that the coach didn't have them ready to play. The issue is the players, the veteran team leadership was not ready to play at the start of the game. If I was the GM, I'd be in the room ripping into players and docking paychecks if I could. - MJL
He should perhaps look at himself for having them play in front of a goaltending tandem nearly no NHL organization would willingly swap out for, and an NHL coach that might as well have leprosy if he was released tonight.

Patrick is a good player now who is going to be a really good player in a few years. The problem with this team right now is not the young players. - MJL
You say that but they clearly are part of the problem. The young players arent getting on the scoreboard. Im sorry but your second line players need more than 0.5 points per game. NoPa Lindblom and to an extent Voracek need to imporove, their production right now is unacceptable. Voracek clearly has more points but he is probably the streakiest guy I know. 5 points in one game and then you get nothing for a while. |

Agreed..The biggest problem on the team right now is the GM and the roster he has assembled.

You mean that young rangers squad on fire with a new coach that had one of the worst farm systems in the league in recent years? - Just5

Actually, the problem with the team is all of the players. - RustyPipes
I don't think Giroux is the problem. Same with Gudas and Sanheim. Laughts and (can't believe I'm saying this) Weise too. JvR I'll give a break since he just came back. Everyone else is not playing up to par. |

"Because you know I'm right." That's what every argument is about for you. You are assuming various things that I did not write. If you can't respond honestly to what I wrote, and not assume various things that I'm not saying, then arguing with you is just a waste of time.
I don't care about being right. I care about having a good, honest discussion. This is not a battle between me and you, it's a discussion. I know you struggle with that concept, and have some weird hang up with always being right. There's no point in anyone arguing with you if that's the case. This is my last post, as I have better things to do than pretend I want to win an internet argument with you. I don't want to win. You can win if that makes you happy. Feel free to have the last word and assume whatever else I didn't say, because you've been doing that on here for years.
Have a great night. |

The goaltending is not a valid excuse for the team not to play. By the way, you said the same about Berube and that he'll never get another job.

100 % it’s hindsight. But that kid has a chance to be a super star. Gretzky compared him to himself last week....that’s pretty high praise.

Then have a discussion and stop making it about me! That's you that did that, not me. Show me how I'm wrong! You don't like the fact that how the team came out in the 2nd period shows that the coach not preparing them to play is on the players and not the coach. Bottom line.

I disagree. I see a ton of skill out there. Couturier, Giroux, Voracek, JVR, Konecny, Lindblom, NoPa are all skilled players. Some need to be more consistant which is something that comes with growth. I dont completely agree with the toughness part. I do see a lot of the team battling and finishing checks but its frustrating watching some guys like JVR or Weal not completing a check.
Speed wise they are average. They have a couple fast skaters but majority are average at best. |

Giroux glided and failed to back check on the first Sabres goal that set the tone. He made zero effort on the play.
