🤪 You must have stocks in the NHL head coach union.

In some people’s world no coach has ever deserved to be held responsible for a poopty teams....it on the players to play better.

All kidding aside, it’s hard for me to really criticize Giroux. He’s been carrying this team forever and he shows up every night and plays through pain. Simmonds and Voracek are the guys I’d be willing to move.
- BiggE

I try not to criticize him for those reasons. He isn't perfect and he didn't get the job done in the first period. But this cannot continue. They can't keep treading water like this, waiting for a tomorrow that may never come

AS long as Hexy is GM they can keep treading water , waiting for a future that may never come.

Cause 200 foot draft pick players that hug the other team is all we need.

If they're in the lottery again after this season, every single person should have to answer some hard effing questions

They really whiffed this past offseason. They needed to upgrade in goal, add another quality center and a good, experienced Dman. They went 0 for 3, and are now paying the price.

When will Hexstall get the gonads to finally fire Hakstol and his coaches????
- Thors-Hammer

When he gets back those incriminating pictures that Hakstol must (frank)ing have of Hextall boning a sheep.

And one more thing about this brilliant coach. Benching guys like Konecny, Ghost, Hagg, and Sanheim for mistakes over the years while guys like Simmonds, Gudas, AMAC and especially Voracek make the same egregious mistakes with impunity does not make you some great coach that is teaching the young players.

It makes you a hypocrite who is too scared to send a message to your veteran players, instead taking the easy way out and benching young guys. Nothing like sitting your young players while trying to “rebuild”.

Smart.

Please...every coach in the NHL takes that approach and who has Hak benched this season?

Focus your hate where it belongs..Overrated as a goalie and accomplished nothing as a GM so far..Ronald Hextall.

Why? Do you not think it is wiser to beat these kind of things into the young players. You cant teach an old dogs new tricks. Doing that makes them learn to be better players. The ones you mentioned arent going to get better. What you see is what you get.

Yep

It doesn't get easier just because you are patient. Boston, Toronto and Tampa are "now" teams. Florida, Buffalo, Carolina and Montreal are tomorrow, and by 20-21, you'd better believe the Rags and Detroit's rebuild will be done

You can't just keep waiting to get good

You also have to understand its no different in the corporate world. The guys with more tenure usually have a longer leash than the new guys.

They still aren't winning this one

But if a miracle does occur. Hak got them to win it.. Time out, ass chewing, and goalie change. But no one will admit that...cause then the issue is the lazy ass players who didn't (frank)ing show up for the first period.

If they come back to win this do you really consider this a successful game? Absolving the coaching staff yet another day? Sigh.

If they find a way to come back and win this game, that will be the story tomorrow. But to me, the story is how they were totally unprepared to play at the start of the game. You cannot keep falling way behind in games and not eventually pay a price for it. It takes a lot of energy to be constantly chasing games and it will burn out your best players.
