I think the PP structure is fine. Every team uses the drop pass to gain the zone with speed/ control. The issue is personnel. We SUCK! Of Edler and boeser we’re out there I truly believe our PP is top 10. That being said, no team is always healthy so I guess that’s a delusional dream. Hughes next year and all is solved - CanuckDon

Strongly disagree, I don’t think he’s a legit PP QB but he’s waay better than Pouliot.
I wouldn’t mind seeing Stecher get a look on the PP. |

Watch how other teams gain the zone against us on the PP. Every team uses the same 2 or 3 different types of entries. There’s not much variety league wide lol. |

No doubt Pouliot is terrible . Edler is a guy that will pick up one PPP in every 50 tries.

You make it seem as if I have something about dbot. I don't.
Just something you created on your own. If you would have allowed him to answer, it would have been fine. - manvanfan
This is funny.
All I did was tell you he lives in New Zealand not Australia. I don't think you have a 'something' dbot. I just told you he wasn't Aussie. You are a tightly wound little person, aren't. Maybe take 1/2 a Lorazepam and settle down. |

That right there is the issue, "so in my opinion", you coach to the talent of the individual players not to "this is what every team uses".
So the coaching staff should determine the strengths and weaknesses and design plays that would work. Every team knows the Canucks MO on the PP and make adjustments accordingly.
If Horvat wasn't such a machine in faceoffs there probably is a 96.7% fail rate on the PP.
The above stat is completely pulled out of my ass, and should not be taken as truthful, this disclaimer is for the stat nerds... |

I agree. Diversity of play is key.....lack of it leads to predictability and thus loses. The play must suit the situation and the team they are playing - SMBDragon

If Quinn was quarter backing the PP in place of Pouliot or Hutton or Edler, people wouldnt complain half as much about the format of it. We dont have a mobile offensive defenseman with the skillset to fill that role currently. Its funny that people think its structure and personel over players though lol |

Seems like a contradiction...if we had Quinn over Pouliot, Hutton or Edler sounds exactly like a personnel or player...and the structure is only as good as the talent.
What works for one team doesn't mean it will work for every team...if it does why isn't there success on the PP. |

I don’t even get why this has to be said, he has been above average pp for years and was doing well this year and last... one of the few! Either way, I agree |
