Not at all. You took a headline you like, 4 first, but didn't read the blog (admittedly). I was just letting you know the author concluded that to get value for Baertschi the Canucks would need a mid first rounder (in the teens) but didn't expect a team in that position to be trading a pick for a guy like Baertschi, so a non starter.

Personally, I think if you could get a first rounder (31st overall) that would be a win.

If Baertschi could play 70 games, could judge his actual potential. At this point id be happy if they did trade him. A 2nd and 3rd.

Friedman was saying in his 31 thoughts that gaunces ceiling is an elite 97 foot player and he's simply been under utilized in Vancouver. Went on to suggest that serious playoff contenders should be looking to pick him up to solidify their playoff push !
