The Flames are the better team of the two currently....you also need to thank your lucky stars that Rittich has played well or you guys would be at the bottom with the rest of us

Well, I guess I was primarily referring to depth to be honest. I could have stated that better. As for Big Save Dave, it’s about time we’ve found a tender since Kipper, don’t you think?!

You want to talk to me about goaltending? ....our goalie situations are the same atm....starters being outplayed by the back ups....Talbot might benefit from Hitch coming on since it will be a more defensive team...... I know what you meant....when I said the better team currently I meant overall

The first part of the paragraph was referring to FORWARD depth. Now that that’s clear, on to the second.

Yes I get the backups are outplaying the starters. Mike Smith was brought in to bridge the gap until one of Rittich, Gillies, or Parsons stepped up. I would say that plan is unfolding as we speak. It’s Smith’s last year on contract, so the transition should work out well if things continue in this direction. It’s no longer Mike Smiths net to lose, last few games have cemented that in stone. Rittich is now our #1 goalie. I have no problems with Mike being the backup the rest of the year.

Now Edmonton’s goaltending situation is a different story..

Chia might have stumbled onto something with Koskenin....time will tell but I can see them going with him for a bit till he poops the bed....I believe Talbot is up after this year as well so if he can’t turn it around we will have to go on a hunt for another goalie....you think Rittich is for real or just another guy that gets hot for a bit then falls right off a cliff?

Didn't Vancouver enter the league before the Oilers? How many cups has each won so far?

Thats all you got eh?

Damn havent heard that before.

Would me pretending its the 80's make you feel better about your team?

Is bringing up something from 30-40 years ago really that affective an argument?

Hey guys. The Oilers were good in the 80's . Whoopdie fukkin doo.

What have you done for me lately?

The BC Lions won the Grey cup in 1964. But guess what, nobody brings it up because NOBODY FUKKIN CARES.

Take your glory days and shove'm.

"Fold the damn franchise." is how you started this. If a franchise should be folded, it should be the one with zero as in SFA success.

Canucks havent won a playoff series in over 7 years. Oilers won one just over a year ago. Which team has done more "lately"?

On Rittich

We will have to see. But god damn we are due to have someone step up.

Weird year for goalies. Part of me is thinking there might be a good deal out there for a bonified starter who is off to a poop start.

Yeah it’s quite the run you guys have going on over there I mean with the playoff appearances and Presidents trophies and of course all of those cups you guys won in the past 5 years.....oh wait that’s right none of these things actually happened

They blame it mainly on the new equipment I believe and that an adjustment period is needed....if the right guy is out there then why not take a chance....can’t see us doing that unless Talbot doesn’t have a NMC in his contract which I would have to look up to find out....that or he would have to be shipped out since Koskenin has a NMC in his deal to make room

Nowhere, anywhere was I in any shape or form pumping the tires of my team and all its glorious achievments over the last five years.

That wasnt the discussion point.

The discussion point was your franchises inability to rebuild with the best player in the world and 4 number 1 picks at their disposal over a six year span.

Canucks have achieved nothing over the last five years.............. Except successfully begin a rebuild which appears to be years ahead of yours in terms of competetiveness........ Which you've seemingly been working at for well over a decade now.

No, the Canucks havent won anything in five years......... But they sure as fukk will be winning a lot sooner than the Oilers even without the best player in the world on our squad.

You've been rebuilding for over 10 years man, and show me something that has changed. Give me an example of something that has changed for the good.....

Its been the same thing every year, dont take your frustrations out on me and the Canucks. Take it out on your Franchises inability to do anything right.

Didn't you guys trade Bobby Lu and Steven Anthony for Jacob Markstrom and Shawn Matthias - just to get rid of Schneider later, not to speak about Cam Neely AND the third overall for Barry Pederson?

Still, one must admit, Larsson for Hall was already a masterpiece the time it went over the tickers.

You best catch up because I said we haven’t had good management for 18+ years I’m well aware of the issues that this team has....it’s comical that you just stroll in and say “fold the franchise” when your team hasn’t accompanied much if ever.....when the best headlines you guys have grabbed are “city riots after cup loss” that says something.....so now Hall for Larsson......that’s the best troll you can come up with? Like we haven’t heard that since that trade was made? Well played guy you have as much originality as the rest of the trolls around here.....it’s not even the worst deal he has done since his arrival but that’s the one everyone sticks to

Fold the damn franchise.

4 #1 picks in 6 years. And absolutely NOTHING has changed.

Christ, And I thought we had incompetent Morons running the Canucks.

These guys make Benning look like the Fukkin Pope.

- vancity787

I do agree that it is mind boggling how the Oilers can still be so much better than the Canucks, what with all of this terrible mismanagement.

I would rather endure 30 years of this nonsense than have had those two Children of the Corn looking mofo twins play for my team for that long and come up with nothing. There is a reason why Canucks fans are so bitter and sad.
