Clarification: it's easier to start with that move

You could even make a change after the Toronto game (how many PPGs are they gonna pile up ), and the new coach(es) would have an 11-day start with only two games.

Can anyone on here tell me how Stamkos got so wide open to go to the net and make an easy pass across to Point for a tap in PP goal in the TB game?

See now if there is even a slight chance PEB and Hagelin are available, those are 2 players the Flyers could use to tighten up the PK and have a defensive 3rd line.

Laughton-PEB-Hagelin... thats a nice, fast, defensively sound line.

Do you think Sean Couturier is capable of playing his spot and his responsibilities on the PK?
- MJL

I know where you are going with this, but it's more than a capable player making a mistake on an individual kill. It can't be all due to personnel. It's obvious, that for whatever reason, the players are either not responding to what Lappy is preaching. This is not new. The Pk has been poor for a very long time and now it's reached the level of being utterly horrid. Rarely will you see in any professional sport, a coach who is being asked to fulfill a specific role, who has delivered results like this, not lose his job.

Of course the players need to be better, but I don't think that Lappy is the guy who will get them to where they need to be. A change needs to be made. I'm fine with management re--assigning him rather than outright firing him, but someone else needs to take over the PK asap.

I'd have interest but not unless you can part with one of your already spare forwards like Lehtara, Weise or Weal.

Would you do something like Weal+MacDonald for Phaneuf+Haglin?

Could those 2 help you on the PK? I know Phaneuf has his rap but could you pair him with Gostisbehere and help take some minutes off Provorov a little.

I know the metro there is no one running away with the division but I like to think the other way. Make a move now and try to push this thing instead of waiting and hoping my team gets better.

I would love to get rid of the spare parts, but LA is doing a salary dump.... to get Nylander according to Ek. So MacDonald is a no. But I cant imagine Hagelin will cost much more then mid range draft pick. PEB will likely also just be a mid to late round draft pick. Then you can just bury Weise, wave Weal and hope someone picks him up.

Ek saying Hagelin being moved again. And good ol PEB could be on the move. I know it’s not likely, but I would welcome back PEB for the right cost. Guy never takes a shift off and who knows maybe he could improve the PK.

Sometimes you don’t know what you have until it’s gone...or it’s skating right now to Chris Vandevelde every shift.

I'm not quite sure you do know. We can blame Lappy and make him pay the price but that's not what the real issue is.

Bill or anybody... what's going on with Jay O'Brein? Also how is Zamula, Allison, and Ratcliffe looking in general.

We can.

Especially when you see an organization like Chicago let go there Stanley Cup winning coach. Was it Quenneville's fault they were medicore? Did he somehow forget to coach?

Letting go a coach is the easiest move with really not much risk but could present rewards if things change.

O'Brien was hurt. Took a hit in a game.

Allison just got back to playing after recovering from the ACL injury.

Zamula I haven't followed much.

So the coach of the worst PK in the league, and one that has been bad for years, is completely blameless. Gotcha.

I watched Ratcliffe after the Flyers game on Saturday...Guelph played against London...he played good...didn't score but had some great plays, he's one big dude...but he can skate and already has an NHL caliber shot. He definitely has a chance to be a pretty good NHL player.

I’ve got to guess that Lappy will at least be moved within the organization in season regardless of how much blame goes where. The delay has to be setting up a replacement.
