I thought Hitchcock retired? - KreiderBomb
Probably couldn’t turn down the prospect of being a home town savior. Too bad Chia will ensure that never happens. |

Only because Toronto has too many good centers. He started out in the middle. - Tonybere
Pretty sure he's never been a center in the NHL. So he's a winger. |

Has he played center on a NA sheet? If I'm Gorton (or any GM) and I'm forking over the kind of haul it's going to take to land him then there's a lot of risk in assuming he'll slot back into a very important position seamlessly. |

Georgiev will face NYI tomorrow. Quinn implies that Skjei will return to lineup. |

So, at what point do we stop trading away our best players for prospects?
It seems like every time someone shows some promise there's a call to trade them away. |

They said he would get a game this week, as good a time as any to play him. He didn’t look bad in third period Thursday. Who sits though for Skjei? |

Probably Claesson, even though he has been pretty good. It isn't Staal & Smith had a very good game |

Agree or disagree? https://mynhltraderumors....-york-rangers/2018/11/20/ - airjan23
Think they are somewhere in the middle. Not as bad as they were in the beginning and not as good as they have been. Honestly I don't care either way, I'm just enjoying this run they have been on and seeing everyone responding to Quinn by playing hard. |

Shattenkirk.
No one has been horrible the last couple games, but he is still a long ways from what we're looking for. Maybe a little more incentive and another dose of the view from above will help?? |

the guys that are UFA's after the season are their own special case
it would be irresponsible to go past the deadline and let Hayes and Zucc go to July 1st and become free agents without getting something for them
unless they sign them to extensions
and as we saw earlier, Panarin is going to cost Tavares money
we start giving Hayes 6 million a year, that could take us out of that, unless they trade Zib like MDW suggests |

I have to give credit to Zib, he and his linemates were great last night defensively, usually something Zib isn't know for at all. And really thats what it comes down to for me. So far Hayes and Zibs production has been similar, I think Hayes is noticeable even when he isn't putting up points offensively and defensively. Zib seems to disappear completely and then have a few good games. He is usually pretty bad defensively too. So if I have to look at it like that, I would rather keep Hayes, pay him a little bit more and trade Zib. I think Hayes is the better all around player by a little bit. imo |

That's reasonable. But, Hayes is playing like $6M a year right now. So, I would make that extension a priority if I were Gorts. |
