Babs loves hymans play and he does his job well, so no hyman wouldnt be dropped.
Nylander at one point deserved to be dropped down cause he wasnt defensively sound for a little stretch.
But who cares, his agent is hopefully not dumb enough to bring up his demotion on the lines. Cause it will get tossed back in his face. - Fakepartofme
Nylander dropped cause defense? This is is the hilarious narrative that people that don’t know just latch onto. It’s not true. Why weren’t others who were poor defensively treated the same. Hyman is brutal defensively, so if that is the standard than why not him.
Because that’s a false narrative. |

Yea look at who they were playing with. Pasta is the goal scorer on that line with Marchand. Nylander moves the puck to Matthews who is the goal scorer on their line. Ignoring point totals as a comparison and only using goal totals is just ignorant. - harps43
Cool.
Nylander is still no pasta as of now.
Ah fack....columbus scores
Z and gards....ugh. |

This game is reminding me of the Leafs vs Kings game where the Kings were just being dominated. Only this time, we're the Kings. |

these things come with acquiring Panarin... The refs like him, so just think about all the non-icing calls the Leafs would get, especially with all the stretch passes! |

I guess every NHL GM is ignorant then. - Santo_44
So you're telling me every NHL GM only looks at goals and not points. How many do you know personally that you can back up this claim?
Players play different games. Nylander is a better passer than shooter, as you see in his assist totals. Basically you are saying JVR is better than Backstrom because JVR has more goals. |

Gardiner is so (frank)ing bad at hockey lol..
Great skater, sucks at puck.
The sooner the Leafs let him go the better it is for everyone. |

You want a player like Hyman demoted instead of Nylander.
Nylander is the much better player so he is going to be expected to play as the better player.
If the goat scores 2 goals in 15 games but Nylander scores 3 goals in 15 games who deserves the demotion?
I’ll give you a hint it isn’t the Goat. |

I guess you missed Z drifting brainlessly on over to Gards' side of the ice before tossing out a trademark "Good Phaneuffing" apple turnover right to the BJs forwards...? |

Did I say he was? I was just saying that only looking purely at goals for a comparison doesn't make sense.

No I’m not...
JVR is 15-20 points behind Backstom every season. Horrible argument there.
Look at the history. Kane, Atkinson, JVR all guys who barely get 60 points but get paid 7 million. Why? Because they score goals. |

Connor Brown needs to play up his trade value.. Theres still a few GM's out there who still think he's a good player.. Need to trade him before the gig is up! |
