I know eh... McDavid can score points, big whoop...Who cares... Can he raise his caresi when it matters? Can he play goalie? This year, his D-zone starts are at 46.3%, obviously, he doesn't care about defense. - PatC80
Why would you ever pay someone for something that they haven't even done yet? |

Matthew Tkachuk owns a 58.38 Corsi For% (elite), 55.64 Scoring Chance For% (elite), is averaging 2.59 points per 60 at 5v5 (elite) and is apparently just as good at playing the point on the power play as causing havoc around the net. This guy is going to get paid with a capital 'P' and rightfully so. He has developed into one of the best two-way wingers in the NHL and, no, that's not an exaggeration. At all. |

Anyone want to talk about how we took off the 1st period against the top team in the Metro Division, and still won by two goals? |

Is Matthews not the primary play maker on that line?? - bixll
No, he's the primary finisher/goalscorer on the line. Nylander was the guy who was responsible for zone entries and for feeding Matthews. |

The Leafs are lucky they won that game, they won't make it far with this d-core and running freddy into the ground.
They have to trade for Erik Karlsson yesterday and find a legit #1 goalie to be their backup.
Also Nylander sux and Tavares will never be a Leaf |

What about that the Leafs will be adding Matthews, Nylander(or someone else by trade) and likely a notable TDL acquisition to this team? |

And we need to draft superstars in the 3rd and 4th rounds.
And we need to win every trade we make. |

Lol
I get why teams fire their coach but in the end the players are responsible.
The Oilers are not going anywhere until they give Mcdavid some players to play with |

How many coaches is this for McDavid now? Can we start saying that he could be a coach killer? |

I get why teams fire their coach too. It's the easiest piece of the puzzle to replace for a GM.
Chiarelli isn't just on life support. He's like.... braindead, on life support, no hope of ever showing signs of life again. Firing the coach was him twitching is finger and giving everyone false hope for just the briefest moment. |

Matthews and Marleau need a primary playmaker on their line. I love Kap but I'm not sure if he's the possession type guy that can feed Patty and Matthews. Nylander truly is the perfect fit.
Marleau-Matthews-Nylander
Hyman-Tavares-Marner
Johnsson-Kadri-Kapanen
Leivo/Ennis-Lindholm-Brown
- mjones242
Marleau will be the weight/retrieval on that line....Nylander don't like the corners. |
