Yeah, but we must blame Price! Even if he saved like 3 or 4 goals last night.

That defense is a disaster.

It really is.

Jordie Benn had a rough game yesterday. Was a complete pylon, unable to intercept a cross ice pass to save his life.

He's playing wayyyy too many minutes next to Petry.

Was good to see Reilly back though, nice goal for him.

He had to take the rust away, he looked better as the game went on.

Not too long ago this team was very sound defensively but just couldn't buy a goal. Now it's goals galore, both incoming and outgoing.

Can't wait to see that Weber guy.

Yes getting Weber back should be huge, even if he's not at 100%.

They were also talking about Byron (on TSN I think) last night and how the team misses him defensively.

If I'm Bergevin, I make phone calls to get a good young defenseman to play with Weber. We can't have Benn on the top pair every nights.

If it means trading their first this year, then be it.

Yeah Byron is really good on the PK, other teams know he can be a threat in such circumstances.

I'm not totally sold yet on the idea of trading their first pick, but if it's for a decent return, and if the team continues to play this way and improves upon that, it could be worth it.

Juulsen's injury, is it a concussion? He went to the hospital last night...

I can't find anything on Juulsen right now. Hopefully it does not mean that Alzner will be back in the line-up.

I'm not saying trade away our first for some old vet. But a number two defenseman who can play top minutes and who might be 22, 23, 24 years of age...why not?

If you are afraid to pull the trigger make it lottety protected.

Price has been very good in the last 3 games.

Let's hope it continues.

well Benn is so far out of his element you almost feel bad for him. even with the injuries, there's no team that moves the puck like Washington. the chances they create out of seemingly nothing is amazing.

Our 4th line was a mess last night.

Deslauriers and Peca are simply not playing well enough.

Hudon I still like.

assuming Weber is close i think it makes more sense to see how things shake out when he gets back.

Sure, but it will leave Benn on the first pair where he has no business. Both Petry and Weber are RHD. They need a LHD in a bad way. And it's not a new problem.

Dude.

What the (frank) is wrong with Zykov?

I had high hopes for him.

He's too slow.
He's not beating anybody out for a top 6 role, and he's too slow to be effective in the bottom half of the roster, so here we are.

Of course, our coach has Svechnikov buried on the 3rd/4th line despite being an absolute beast, so (frank) it. Who knows.

Last year Mete did a decent job with Weber, but if the staff noticed a drop in his confidence and quality of play this year, perhaps it's not in their plans to try that pairing again

He's not playing a lot...I think they might send him down when Weber comes back. Unless Juulsen misses extended time.

Agreed.

Despite him being better than Schlemko and Alzner by a mile.

of course he is, but he's only 20 years old

He's a guy that had offensive abilities in junior...maybe being a first pairing defenseman with the Rocket could help him regain that.

Again, not saying it would be ideal, but putting him back with Weber could help a lot as well in that regard... Although a lot of dmen will look wayyy better when playing with the Man Mountain

So the habs would be interested in Pierre-Edouard Bellemare, because they need scoring at the center postition...

He only has 6 goals last year, but all those goals were French, so I guess they need to take that into consideration.
