If Bettman wants his car to survive on draft day that won't happen.

I thought he was fine relative to the rest of the dmen, but no one on defense was "good" tonight.

The Jets are just better in every facet of the game, they can match the Canucks speed/hustle, push them around, better at creating and finishing chances, better goalie, etc.

My boy Motte stood out amongst the AHL'ers up front

Kyle Connor is awesome. Player like that on Bo's wing. OMG😍

Yup. 1st and 6th into an empty net.

I had called 5-3 for the Jets. Taped the game, watch it when I get home. Watched highlights already. Marky stood tall but was still his own downfall in the first?
Goldy still showing flashes.

I missed half the game, because of my nappitis, but Goldobin had a decent game from what I seen.
Gagner looked better than some of the other ahl players and may end up sticking around...we will see.

I dont really remember if i was ever for or against Gagner going to the minors. I remember feeling like when the line up was healthy, there wasnt a role for him. I do think he should have stayed up over Leipsic and Motte.
Here's his chance to get moved though πŸ˜‰

I had no problem with them waiving him, at that time. With all the injuries now, he can be a somewhat useful stop gap for the team.
Leipsic and Archibald need to go to Utica. Archie played less than 3 minutes. I think the team needs some players like him, but ones that can actually keep up with the Play.
Leipsic will be a career minor leaguer/overseas player.
I have been hard on Goldobin, but this is a transition year, Let's see how he makes out over a full season.

Archie playing 3 minutes a game is useless.

Leipsic I sort of hope he finds his game. Reminds me a bit like Yanni Gourde and Jon Marchessault. High scoring, smaller junior players. They were both 25-26 years old before they got there first full seasons. Leipsic is 24 this year.

Goldy, as he gets older if committed will grow to be harder to play against on a regular basis. When I said he had only played 70 some odd games. I meant he's still young and a bit tenative to the NHL game but has the skill.

ex. Granlund Motte

Edler Gudbranson
Hutton Tanev
MDZ Stecher

Jets are clearly the best team in Canada, followed by the Flames (not joking), Leafs, Canadiens, Oilers/Canucks (tie), Ottawa.
- LeftCoaster

Jets are the tops but would have the Leafs (pains me to say it) ahead of the Flames for sure. Habs are over-achieving so it's a tough call to say if they are actually better than the Oil. Oil will bounce back while Canucks and Sens well it is what it is lol

Called 6-3 Jets baby.

In a perfect world of the lose for Hughes campaign this is perfect. No points in regulation for 5 games and Petey is back scoring!

I know an annoying troll you can ask . He wrote down things quoted in the summer, but I would suggest avoiding him and his 200 ' ego.

Is it really a pro Markstrom group or a pro staus quo group that doesn't want to go out and make a big signing just yet?

Goaltending is not the issue for the Canucks. Goaltending , defense & offense are the issues. The lack of depth & talent is not helping either.

He showed up right after you.
He's the ideal starter for a rebuilding team, garners us a higher draft pick.

Love Pettersson, so dynamic, especially seeing as it proves the local senile Cherry's wrong about him being just a 30 point player.

Damn, I'd feel like an idiot troll if I had said something stupid like that.

Combination of both really. I'm in the not make a big signing group but if people really think that Markstrom is just a product of our bad D, injury status and some lack of scoring depth yipes. He's not a starter. Never will be. I just find it funny the excuses that come up for him from time/time in here. Sure he has played well at times and kept us in a few games but really we know what we get. And keeping Marky as the starter gets us closer and closer to Hughes so I'm good with that lol.

I know yesterday I said I am okay with Markstrom staying but also said when Marwood mentioned trading him , I said sure why not . I don't think that classifies me as a pro Markstom although I am sure there is one idiot that will accuse me of being in that camp.

Edit . Oh too late , he already accused me

What a troll

- VANTEL

lol is Pres4U disturbing shat already?

I never meant to insinuate you were pro-Marky just making a statement.

Facts are we should be out of a PO spot by this Friday pretty much for good. Focus on getting what we can for Marky and Nilly and move on by TDL. Not saying Demko should be thrust in after TDL but make a change. Get things set for Hughes and OJ next year and hopefully a draft pick that can step in and play. For what we are getting out of Marky we may as well have Lack back in net lol.

Basically I'm hoping for the full sweep of both our goalies gone by TDL plus Edler and possibly Tanev. Chuck Del Zotto and Pool-a-alot in there for good measure.
