Geez I made a prediction in the summer about Pettersson not scoring 40 points before he ever played a regular NHL game and now Troll Boy has his ammo for the rest of the year.
Enjoy listening to this idiots rants for the next 2000 posts about Gaunce , a 200 foot game and Petterssons 40 pts
I would love to see the date I made the post and exactly what was said because we all know how troll boy likes to twist things , just like now I am the biggest Markstrom supporter. - VANTEL

lol is Pres4U disturbing shat already?
I never meant to insinuate you were pro-Marky just making a statement.
Facts are we should be out of a PO spot by this Friday pretty much for good. Focus on getting what we can for Marky and Nilly and move on by TDL. Not saying Demko should be thrust in after TDL but make a change. Get things set for Hughes and OJ next year and hopefully a draft pick that can step in and play. For what we are getting out of Marky we may as well have Lack back in net lol.
Basically I'm hoping for the full sweep of both our goalies gone by TDL plus Edler and possibly Tanev. Chuck Del Zotto and Pool-a-alot in there for good measure.

Pool boy going to get that 4th round pick back at the tdl |

The team is definitely more fun to watch this year with Horvat, Pettersson & Boeser (when healthy), however, there's still A LOT of holes to be filled for this to be a competitive team. It's coming, slowly, but it is coming.
When I look at the evolution of the current Jets, some of those guys like Byfuglien, Little & Wheeler came from their Atlanta days back to 2010/11. That's eight years ago and last year was their first real breakout year. Just takes time.
Depending on the competence of your GM it could take 12 years or it could take 7 or 8, or a change in management, just gotta have faith. |

A couple January tanks got them Pettersson and Juolevi each at 5th overall, one of them might turn out to be the Calder Trophy winner and the best player of his draft. A first or second overall would be nice though, I agree!!
Keep building!! |

Combination of both really. I'm in the not make a big signing group but if people really think that Markstrom is just a product of our bad D, injury status and some lack of scoring depth yipes. He's not a starter. Never will be. I just find it funny the excuses that come up for him from time/time in here. Sure he has played well at times and kept us in a few games but really we know what we get. And keeping Marky as the starter gets us closer and closer to Hughes so I'm good with that lol. - LordHumungous
He looks good if he plays every second or third game.... guess that makes him a good backup. |

To be fair, you do the exact same thing. Pull out one bit of a post, twist it out of context and then craft a narrative about that poster/player for eternity.
In a way, you reap what you sow. |

There is quite a few good college free agents this year. If they could add a Kerfoot or a player like Alex Iafallo.
If they are going to keep going after skill at the draft then adding some guys that go get the puck from the corners would be a good add. Instead of overpaying in free agency or trying to make a player something they arent. Something like a Zach Hyman. |

Agree, Keerfoot really helped Colorado become a better team. Canucks have tried the college rout before, with limited success, but they need to keep barking up that tree. |

I think your Marky hate is reaching Beafle like proportions. It will consume you if you don't take a breather. Allen (twice), Varlomov, Schneider, Raanta. These are the "starters" who the Jets have lit up for 5 goals so far this season. Including Markstrom, that's 6 out of 19 games they put up at least 5 goals.
I would have been just as happy to run with Bachman/Nielsson, or Bachman/Schneider or Markstrom/Bachman or whatever washed up playing in Europe making a comeback to the NHL goalie they dug up. Not saying markstrom isn't A problem, just that he isn't THE problem.
He has 2 years left on a manageable contract. If he was being used 40ish times per year he would probably be not too bad. |

True. Stecher has been "ok". I think only Molino is the only other college free agent. I feel as if im missing someone though. |

They will always need players in the AHL. An undrafted college FA is basically a veteran AHLer without ever having played in the league... I am referring to age only. |

Damn.... far worse this season, less points.... far worse goal differential. Missing the Twins, I guess they weren't so bad defending considering who they went up against every night. |

Funny but give it a rest for a bit. Both of you.
Read that Virtanen, Motte and Schaller had real good chances at 4-3 to tie the game up. When team was healthier, those goals were potted and confidence gained. Now its not happening. |

He's a fringe NHL player, but he is basically found money. I doubt he gets sent down mid season. There's other guys who have a,ready cleared, and probably will again. |

I was quite surprised when JB didnt sign a single junior or college free agent last season. I remember him wanting Ryan Kauffner and Max Verraneaou(spelling) both from Princeton. Lots of talk about Grant Hutton and a CHL guy Tye Febaher. |
