Scoring 40 would up his value immensely, but if he ends at 70 pts total, I doubt he can justify a double digit million dollar contract. That's as far as I'll go. 7.5-9.5, will depend on the UFA market, his production for the rest of the year and the salary cap situations around the league (not every team will have the money to give).

Considering he is tied for 2nd in the league in goals? Yes he is the best pending UFA on the market.

No. He has been on bad teams with no center help and still scored 37g two seasons ago. Also remember, by the end of last year the Canes had moved on and were putting him on the 3rd line.

With Jack, I'd imagine 60 is the low water mark.
