At least we got to celebrate a Super Bowl before we die we might not get to do it again
Now if the flyers would get their poop together I’ve been waiting actively for 30+ years |

How is the Pearson\Hagelin trade lopsided?
Kings get out of a contract a year sooner and the pens get a player with more offensive upside.

Just checked the Eagles score.
Too bad the trade deadline just passed. Eagles def could've dealt Foles to the Skins right now. |

Tanner Pearson is younger and bigger than Hagelin.
Hagelin is 30. If his hands were as good as his skating or his flow, he'd be a 30 goal guy.
Ditching Hagelin was low hanging fruit for Jim Rutherford. |

Player for player I'd rather have Pearson but the Kings need to start unloading contracts. It's been tough watching them switch coaches with nothing to show for it. I didn't want to bring this up here. |

Get Jeff Carter!
Giroux-Couturier-Konecny
JVR-Carter-Voracek
Lindblom-Patrick-Simmonds
Raffl-Laughton-Weise
Now that looks like a winning team.... Carter in a 2nd line completely changes the depth of this team... big time.

I would be fine with going after Anisimov.
As great as I thought the comeback was I still feel a major change is needed. Maybe Simmonds or Voracek. i know lots don't agree with me. I think you can make a hockey trade and still accomplish what you want this year. |

I'm not sure I want his contract. Not so much the cap hit but the remaining 4 years. |

You have to remove Konecny because you aren't getting Carter for free.

Yup the term is the problem. If he was only signed through 2020 or even 2021, then I'd be interested.

Anyone else notice this team played better after getting into a little scrap? maybe lightening sat back or maybe it's just me wanting to think it mattered.
But I feel when this teams plays with some grit and sandpaper in their game they tend to have better games. |

In terms of moving big name players like Hartnell and Schenn, I think Hextall has been pretty ballsy as GM. And while I have wanted Hak gone for a year, I get why he's reluctant to fire his first coaching hire with almost 2 years and $10m left on his contract. But there's only one word to describe his refusal to replace the coach of the league's worst penalty kill: cowardly.
Literally every single time Hextall face the media from now on, multiple reporters should be asking him what he plans to do about his team having the worst PK% in the league since he became GM. If they don't, they're cowards, too. |
