Hagelin is 30. If his hands were as good as his skating or his flow, he'd be a 30 goal guy.

Ditching Hagelin was low hanging fruit for Jim Rutherford.

I would be fine with going after Anisimov.

As great as I thought the comeback was I still feel a major change is needed. Maybe Simmonds or Voracek. i know lots don't agree with me. I think you can make a hockey trade and still accomplish what you want this year.

Yup the term is the problem. If he was only signed through 2020 or even 2021, then I'd be interested.

Anyone else notice this team played better after getting into a little scrap? maybe lightening sat back or maybe it's just me wanting to think it mattered.

In terms of moving big name players like Hartnell and Schenn, I think Hextall has been pretty ballsy as GM. And while I have wanted Hak gone for a year, I get why he's reluctant to fire his first coaching hire with almost 2 years and $10m left on his contract. But there's only one word to describe his refusal to replace the coach of the league's worst penalty kill: cowardly.

Literally every single time Hextall face the media from now on, multiple reporters should be asking him what he plans to do about his team having the worst PK% in the league since he became GM. If they don't, they're cowards, too.
