I remember like 3 people upset but sure lets call that everyone. I remember most people here thinking he was a goof.

What does that have to do with what we are talking about with comments today about the goal tending?

If you are starting a new topic fine, I am just trying to piece it in with what you are saying and what we were talking about , unless you are suggesting we go after Eddie Lack again ?

I think you misremember. It was a freaking melt down, not quite Hodgson level meltdown, but it was bad. And that was the year Lehner got a 1st plus or whatever, which made the trade worse. Now we’re pinning our hopes on two guys who have 1 game of NHL experience (one still playing junior hockey).

That is misleading . We have never drafted a goalie in the first round. So Canucks have drafted one goalie once in the second round and you are against doing it again because you think we are now set at goalie position.

Good luck with that.

Pretty sure Schneider was a first round pick?

Draft a goalie every other year, that should insure you have a steady stream of players. Don’t let Hawksey read this, he’ll be worried about where all these goalies will play.

It was decent and great to see Pettersson literally blow one by Carey Price. Bad penalty by MDZ yes but typically the refs could have let that go at that point in the game. No intent to injure or malicious or anything like that. Markstrom has zero ability to close out leads. To me, the difference between a true no 1 and a Markstrom. Price made key-key saves after the Pettersson goal to keep it a one goal game to get the Habs back in it. Marky doesn't have that ability.

But as long as Petey is still in the Calder race that's all that really matters lol.

it was a very stupid hit very late and no reason to do so other than to play tough guy on a 18 years old skinny kid ?
