May as well try him. He should have energy. I think he’ll succeed. Put him with EP.

He has 15 pts in 15 games with Marlies. 7 Goals. May as well .

I think Diptetro has a shot. Lets see how he does in the AHL next year.
So using a 2 nd round pick on a goalie is a waste? Minivan can you write this down?

Having six bullets in the chamber is better than having one. What if Demko goes down to long term injury or he just isn't good enough. Don't kid yourself Canucks are not stacked in goal tending.

Yes, because we draft two already in the first three rounds. You draft the best player available.

That is misleading . We have never drafted a goalie in the first round. So Canucks have drafted one goalie once in the second round and you are against doing it again because you think we are now set at goalie position.

Good luck with that.

Goalies are so hard to predict, you just never know which ones will make it.
I have never had a problem when Canucks pick a goalie and believe they should take one at least every 3rd year, somewhere in the draft.

Before Schneider played 25 games in the NHL it took 8 years. Demko is now in year 5 . If he does turn out to be a stud it is still 3to 4 years away. You always take a chance with goalies.

Goalies stopping one less goal a night make about 2 to 4 mil a year more.If you look at teams like Cgy Hawks CBJ Kings Rangers and so on you will see they have 10 less GA than us. For an inexperienced roster and bad D that really isn't too bad. Our goal tending is on par with Philly and CGY . Do you want to pay 7 mil for a Goalie right now for less than one goal a game?

Your math doesn't add up.

Have we only played 10 games?

More like half a goal a game.

People with IQs above 12 can figure out you can't actually score a half a goal in a game but thanks for the math report.

10 is half of twenty thanks . Got it.

Seems like a lot on here don't read his crap.

So... GAA is a round up or round down statistic? Goalies have goals against averages of 1, 2, 3, 4, etc...? Or do they utilize the mathematical device known as fractions to create their actual averages.
A goalie who has let in 10 fewer goals over 20 games then one with a goals against average of 3.00 would have a GAA of 2.50.
There aren't many goalies who are going to be a full GAA better then another starting finally over the course of a year.
Having a GAA 0.5 (not 1.0) better will net that goalie an extra 2 to 4 million.
