3 points (frank)s with the whole 93 points to make the playoffs projections and whatnot. This sounds dumb but maybe the loser points should be half points. (frank) integers

Also Rielly 4 Norris

- TheMussel

He might win that many.

If Reilly wins the Norris we're automatically guaranteed a cup, right?

When they added the loser point the baseline changed. Why do people hate change?
- Drapz

I hate illogical change like awarding more points if a game goes to OT.

Award 3 points in regulation. Simple solution, really.

Yep that will work too. I really hate playoff seeding the most.

I think he's easily the front-runner as it is now and I don't even think it's close.

Just actually read the blog. Mentions Ian Scott but doesn't even bring up the (frank)er scored the other night!

You and me both. Frankly, I think the playoffs should be seeded 1 through 16. This artificial playoff rivalry format they've got going is silly.

If you seed 1-16 then you have the possibility of seeing some really interesting matchups that have previously never played out in playoff rounds before. Plus, a potential Habs v Leafs finale could actually happen at some point.

Playoffs you need grit..

I think thats the balancing act GM's have to play.. You don't want to goon up too much for the regular season because it'll cause more problems than it fixes, but you don't want a bunch of skinny dudes when you're going deep into rounds..

- Arctic_AARDVARK

That’s why I like you. You think like me agreed!!

I half agree.

I think shootout losers should get a point but OT losers shouldn't.

- GreatGigInTheSky

This, and a return to 1 through 8 conference seeding would also be nice. Divisional seeding is boring and unbalanced...and it's not that I think this team can't beat the Bruins, they totally can

But please, not the the Bruins again

Ya a 1-16 playoff format would be pretty cool.

But they should bring back the old 1-8 format if anything.. the new format is retarded.

Seriously wierd when we are complaining on grit and if we have enough and rules in the league that should change to whatever.

Would almost be a refreshing change if it wasn't for the fact a lot are female doging while we are really playing well and dominating.

I miss the old system they shouldn’t have changed it at all and I certainly hope that they don’t expand the playoffs....like Burke says why have a regular season at all might as well just jump into the playoffs

The expanded playoffs concept that was floated recently is one of the dumbest ideas I've ever heard.

Well.. The leafs are okay without it..

But if Matthews played for literally any other team other than maybe TB or NSH they would be taking a big hit in the standings without him.

Caps won the cup because they didn't break down over 4 rounds. You don't necessarily need grit, but you needs size and toughness for sure..

Yeah, personally I could care less about rivalries. Still a chance of seeding against one anyways with the 1-8 format.

I know most of you guys don’t care for the rough stuff in the game but I like the rough play. Some guys have skill and speed and by nature have a rough edge to them. It’d be so awesome if we could pickup a player like wendel Clark. Just me dreaming
