10+ goal barnburner - some of us called that one.

It didn't start out the same way that previous high-scoring matchups have, but it ended up having 11 goals.

Louis "Heart Attack" Domingue - no lead is safe with this guy.

Good game. I wanted to see more Gritty though.

The most worrying thing I take away from this game was that Hak told his team they were playing well during the second intermission.

The team is fragile. If you want your team to come out ready to play, beating them down in between periods is not the way to go. Shots were 16 to 8 in the period favor the Flyers. They had a few breakdowns that cost them.

For the first half of that period they were fine. A breakdown here and there and the wheels fell off. That's not good, but there was still one period to go and he wanted them to keep doing the good stuff.

That said, that's what he said in the post-game press conference. Nobody outside of the team knows what was really said between periods.

The good takes from this game are that for large chunks of the game, the Flyers played evenly or outplayed the Lightning. Travis Konecny, who could easily have a dozen goals scored on the season broke through and potted two. You could tell he was frustrated. Hopefully he goes on a tear. Obviously the push back and not quitting on the game. The PP potting 3 goals. The bad, continuing individual breakdowns on fundamentals. This team is jekyll and hyde with that. Some games they'll play tight, and some games they don't. Of course the PK failures.

I wasn’t surprised either. When Tampa went up 5–1, I was pretty sure the flyers would lose in the end
- Just5

i thought they’d either lose like tht and quit or make it 5-4 and not be able to get the equalizer which would have been
even more annoying.

they got a loser point. i’m thrilled.

My whole PROCESS is: move on from G and Jake NOW, to have a CORE. With Ghost, Provy, Hart, Patrick as your core IN ADDITION TO WHATEVER YOU GET FOR G AND JAKE, is that a bad idea?, if so, Why?
- DrMidnite

Yes because it sets us back even further. We are winning games because of Giroux and Voracek. You trade them now, whos replacing the 187 points? Instead of a streaky playoff team, you are looking at a tanking team and starting rebuild from the start

If you’re the head coach, you are the bench boss. You should overlook everything and have final say. Everything you’ve named in term of change is from last season outside of JvR, which you made sound to be a spare tire.
- SuperSchennBros

It sounds like he's a spare tire if you think of being on the third line like that. NoPa Voracek and JVR played together in the preseason and to start the season. They didnt play well. Hak swapped Lindblom and JVR because it was the easiest change to make. Third line gets plenty of ice time. Only one line that would really sees superior 5 on 5 time which is the top line but Hak might roll them evenly. Its hard to tell with PP and PK time in the mix.

You should be. We made the playoffs because of those loser points last season. Hopefully we can make it this season without it.

I posted the links to the 3 OT game winners that Simmonds has scored in about a years time. Apparently his skill does translate well to OT. There are many myths among fans. That Wayne Simmonds can't score off of the rush or isn't a good 5 on 5 player are two of them.

That summed it up. Hoping that the offense break out can continue on to next game along with what has been pretty good puck possession play. Flyers have lots of threats; they can all score. Also time for the PP to go streaking.
