He has 12 mins of PP time in the past 3 games....
Safe to say Babs is starting to use him on there. - Santo_44
Really? To be honest I haven't been able to stay awake during this road trip. How does he look? Where's he playing? |

He’s been pretty good on there too.
He’s been in Marner’s role on the 2nd PP unit and has shown he can pass as well. He’s a top 6 player in the NHL. He should be getting mins like one too. |

Reading all the comments and wow! What a bunch of ignorant useless blow hards so many of you are. You have a team that, with a few tweaks and an addition here or there, is a top cup contender. Yet so many of you can only find fault and become picky little ass kissing complainers. You're like a pack of wolves out for a kill and you don't care who gets killed - even if it's your own team.
Embrace your team. Shut your damn mouths and make comments based upon intelligence and keep your own stupidity and ignorance out of the picture. I'm not even a Leaf fan but I truly appreciate the quality they put on the ice every night.
what a (frank)ing joke smh

We aren’t worthy - Santo_44
in all seriousness tho, this is very exciting but i still don’t believe that this team is built to go far in the playoffs.
They need a hard Richard top 4 defenseman and a top 9 forward with some sandpaper like poon Jenner |

anyone has an idea why philadelphia flyers play a lot of their sat home games at 1pm?
for european fans it's great - finally a decent time to see a hockey game (I wish leafs played a few games Sunday 1pm EST) - plantheparade
It's so the fans in Philly have an excuse to get wasted so early and then go out into the world and hate things. |

Sweet. Love the versatility with him, and Babcock's willingness to give out cookies to young talents who earn his trust in lesser roles.
Rielly's finally breaking out like he could in Junior after learning how to play D and getting like zero PP minutes earlier in his career.
Kap, same story: PK threat, put Marner out there maybe when we're down a goal and get a stupid penalty late, good things happen. |

Still no room for Kap. - GreatGigInTheSky
The simple answer would be for Leivo to take on PK minutes, but I think Kap will likely be right up there with Brown and Hyman for PK minutes if/when Nylander and Matthews come back.
Speaking of Nylander, latest speculation is Hamilton, but honestly these guys know jack. |

Babs got bad rap for getting guys like Rielly and Kapanen to learn how to play D...but it’s paid off handsomely.
I hope they sign cap to a 3-4 year deal like Brown and Hyman did. |

I think Nylander signs tbh.
But if a trade does happen I see Hamilton as the primary candidate. |

I'd rather have a LW in return for Nylander for Matthews' line.
Unless it's Provorov / McAvoy / Seth Jones coming back (not going to happen). |

Laine just got his 1st yesterday.
And it was an even strength assist. I'm so proud of him! |

He’s now my favourite player, that was classic.
Sparks got lucky our D were hanging out behind him but played a pretty good game. JMO |

Doubt a team trades away a forward as good as Nylander. There’s zero reasoning for a team to do that unless they need a change of scenery and are struggling.
And we are not trading for a struggling player for Nylander |

D has been good
When you look at our D 3 years ago and realize the only thing close to a top 4 D they added was Hainsey...the D has improved leaps and bounds internally. |

I wonder of Babschlong can bring him to life....probably not. Always liked Schenn.
Trading Nylander for Joe Pesce Komisarek reminds me of JVR for Schenn. |

I'm thinking a team heavy on LW and lacking depth on RW/C.
