1) I like his energy, and the change away from zone defense seems to be a good thing. I don't like how he's playing 8 with 88. I wish he'd trade 8 for 12.

2) Depth scoring and defense. Bringing up Sikura may help the depth scoring, but I actually hope that they don't do anything about the defense. Which leads me to...

3) Bowman should only look at improving the forward/center positions. The defense will be fine in a year or two. For this season, I think he should use our cap space to add picks and prospects by taking on a bad expiring contract or two. He should look to trade AA, Rutta, Manning, Davidson, Kunitz, Kruger and Ward for whatever he can get (retaining salary on everyone but Manning and AA if necessary).

Kane has more jump than I’ve seen in a week or so. 3 points for 88 and a Hawks win! (frank) Dustin Brown that goon!!

So you’re saying a No look backhand pass into the slot in the Defensive zone is NOT a good play?

Noticed that, a lot of speed from 19 and 88. Really like that. 4th line looks great too so far.

Flip Kahun and Schmaltz. Need someone to set up Dcat and Toews Schmaltz and Kane doesn’t work. All 3 want the puck.

Toews also looks like not so good Toews again. He can’t hold the puck.

Seabs keeps passing to no one in the Dzone. Not even under pressure.

Seabs real rough shift there. Yeah 19 has come crashing down to earth for sure. Not skating like he was the first 2 weeks.

Forsling had a tough time. Not too good for the hawks. Crow came up big. I really think hawks need to play slowed down games. Fast pace isn't them anymore.

LOL. Not especially. He's not the only guilty one that does that but he does it the most.

Or maybe Kampf Kunitz Martinsen are borderline NHL players and the fact the hawks have 4 top 6 forwards on the roster.

This team, across the board, enters the zone with zero intention to shoot. They are insanely predictable as they pull up and look to force board to board cross ice passes while passing up clean shot attempts again and again. SMFH

That's what I would expect, too. DBC doesn't seem to be thriving where he is either. Going to start questioning JC's judgment if he leaves Schmaltz up there barring a major turnaround this game. It's not clicking. On at least one shift, saw Schmaltz standing at the wall, far away from the puck, and not engaging for quite a few seconds.

Crawford kept the Hawks in this game, it could have easily been 2-0.

I'd like to see ADB and Schmaltz flipped. Both are stagnant on their current lines.

I've liked the 4th line so far. They aren't great, but it's a steady 4th line.

Other than the 4 plus plus plus goal scoring chances, i like their defensive play. Funny how the last 3 games I've watched team defense is good until 10 minutes left in the period, they get really careless and sloppy, the no look passes to the middle of the ice by all of them in the defensive zone is just so careless

He’s playing with Toews and Kane. He isn’t the type of player those two need. Either need a shooter or a power forward who is going to go to the net everythime.
