Of course he's not ready to play... hasn't played a game yet this year for (frank)s sake .
- Bullfrog77

So having not played a game yet means he will never be ready to play a game? I’m just trying to understand your logic here.

Here I thought you had to get more than a 4hour ban to be a real man...to many rules for this man stuff.

You’re a real man Rueby, you have an opinion and you back it up. Mostly you’re wrong, but I respect your wrongness

The logic is obvious... he's been on IR all season...so obviously he is in no way prepared to just jump into an NHL game . He wasn't prepared for his short taste last season and as it sits right now... that was pretty close to the last meaningful game he's played . Once he's cleared to play, don't you think it would make sense to let him atleast play a few games in the minors? Or just completely shred what little faith he probably has left in this team by tossing him to the wolves? Worked for bachman right? He didn't play for weeks ... yet practiced with the team everyday. Still looked like a bag of poop.

So Bachman and Demko are comparable players?

If Demko is ready for the NHL, a couple games in the minors aren’t going to help, he’s not Frank COrrado, he doesn’t need a conditioning stint. Sutter, Beafle, Edler, Boeser won’t play games in Utica before they return. So my point is he is either ready or he isn’t. If he isn’t, then off to Utica with him.

Oh wait, he’s already there.

goalies are a tough bunch to predict , Mason was gonna be the next Roy , Dubnyk had busted , Hutchinson was ahead of Hellbuyck , so it could be Demko never pans out and Depietro is the guy

screw it throw him in and sink or swim

Point one....all those players are established NHL players.... Demko is not. He was cut and sent to Utica. Second point those players have all played games this season and haven't been in the NHL concussion protocol bubble. And third point , none of those players are a goalie !!! A position that clearly requires some game reps and timing . If you can't draw the line between the dots on why he isn't ready , then clearly you're just bored and trolling the fan base with this bull poop.

First of all, I never suggested Demko start on Saturday. You just used your particular narrative to invent a controversy.

Second of all, either you are an NHL player or not. So if he’s not an NHL ready player then practicing with the team (like Bachy) isn’t going to help.

Thirdly frank off

First point
Beagle clearly isn't an NHL player, elite 200 foot AHL player, yes, but he's nowhere near Gaunce caliber. It's why Benning told green not to play Gaunce, he'd look foolish for having signed an inferior player to a 3m x 4y contract.
#benninghatesus
2nd point
Bachman clearly isn't an nhl goalie, Codes gets hammered with more shots and would be a better goalie option, if he wasn't 4'9".
3rd point
There isn't a third point, just this pointless sentence reiterating that you're wrong, you're so wrong.
4th point
Demko played in the pre season, he's not in the concussion protocol anymore and he turns into an elite goalie in nhl19.

Boom, not bored.

Solid post... I retract my earlier narrative and now fully support casting Demko down into the pits of hell ( known also in these parts as the crease of the Vancouver canucks ) of course he's ready , nhl19 says so !

Price is usually terrible when playing in Vancouver. That's why I was giving the benefit of doubt when predicting a 5-0 victory for Montreal.
