The one question I have is does Eklund drop his pants before he pulls these rumours out of his arse or does he just deal with the ripped clothing after the fact.
Trouba's desire to move was due to his preference to play south of the border.
While it is a constant source of embarrassment, the last time I checked Toronto is still in Canada. But go ahead and continue to believe the "Everyone wants to play in Toronto" narrative - Norm.Peterson
Did you even read what I said?
I said TWICE..and yes I said twice in all caps so you could hopefully actually read something this time. TWICE that I did not think what I was saying was true. I was simply using it as an example.
What I said could be true, could not be true. But one thing I know is true...You and I do not know poop about what Trouba wants or doesnt want.
You actually proved my point for me so thanks Fans pretend to know what players actually want...kind of like what you just did by saying Trouba wants to play south of the border. You do not know that and stop trying to claim you know that.

Ek, it might be time to hang em up.
Nylander wants too much money, and Trouba wants too much money. Toronto isn't going to just swap problems with Winnipeg. (Also, Trouba just knocked Matthews out for the month of November. Probably not a good time to bring him into the fold).
They'd be more likely to use Nylander the same way you're rumouring Winnipeg to use him, should they acquire him. Toronto doesn't need Winnpeg. Toronto needs St Louis (Parayko), Anaheim (Manson or Montour), Minnesota (Dumba or Spurgeon) or Carolina (Faulk or Pesce). Even Philly (Sanheim or Gostisbehere obviously a 1st round pick and probably a prospect moving to Philly if it's Ghost). Other teams like Florida, Dallas, Arizona and Buffalo even have a better chance of landing Nylander than Winnipeg does.. |

Should probably reread that post and try again...
Pretty sure it says Nylander and first and a prospect for Ghost. |

It's not really equal though is it? You have a certain amount you'd like to pay your forwards, defense, and goalies. If you(Toronto) can shift away from forwards to defense that's a plus. Unless they want futures they're going to have to pay someone regardless. Better to spend it on a top 3 defenseman than your 4th or 5th best forward. |

Reread it. I thought he was saying Ghost and a 1st, with a prospect going the other way with Nylander.
My question is, why would Philly move Ghost? |

The only reason I could see this happen is that the Leafs are getting a RD from the Jets and then the Jets would get a LD from the Canes.
This would help both the Leafs and Jets. The Leafs need the RD. The Jets need a top end LD. However, the Canes have more RD than LD, so would they really want to trade away their best LD?
As crazy as it sounds, it's a possibility. |

I don't think they would, but I bet these are the types of offers they are getting. Everyone is spitting out names and any one of these players could be coming back for Nylander but at the end of the day it would unlikely be a one for one trade. Would be pretty tough for Dubas to get a good deal at this point. Leafs just need another body on the ice after Dec. 1. I hope it's Nylander. |

I just can’t see the leafs wanting a guy who isn’t locked up for a couple years, or the jets looking for a cup this year even wanting to move him... |
