Letang is overrated...I can take the gold glasses off and see that. EK was overrated too...he looks as I expected on a different team. I don't consider Letang a top tier number 1. I am not saying Letang is the problem..I'm saying he gets us the best back in a shake up.

You all didn't like me when I said keep MAF over MM too...I can live with being unpopular in my opinion but I reserve the right to talk about this in a year or two when Letang is completely worthless in the league.

If we can win without him...I'd move him...he is 31 and horribly declining. Getting an offensive stud that will be around post Sid Geno would be ideal. It's possible we could make the deal bigger and package sprong in there and take Gardiner back. Gards has lost his way a bit in Toronto. I think a big deal is possible there and I think the pens could survive without Tanger. But Murray also needs to be done

I said that last year and ppl said I was stupid for trying to get rid of Letang....Kris is a terrible pp quarterback...as a number 1 he needs to be good at that. He isn't that good defensively. He is absolutely over valued by pens fans.

Agree with boyd'sy, panic trades don't lead to anything... and this includes MM as well.

Making moves right now is part to send a message to this team that they need to wake the (frank) up and get that hunger back.

YOU DON'T move a #1 Dman unless you have another #1 coming back the other way. Not to mention you have a #1 dman below market value.

Do you move Murray? The better questions are these:

-What do you think you're going to get for Murray?

-Do you think DeSmith is ready to be a starting goalie? Jarry?

-Do you make another move for another goalie? That's maybe the hardest trade you can attempt to make.

His points/60 on the PP is 8th in the NHL over the last 3 seasons among Dmen with 350 PP TOI.

He has 66 PP points in 207 games, right up there with OEL, Yandle, Klingberg, Subban, Doughty, Josi. (who all have more GP)

His defense is better than anyone else on the Pens other than maybe Dumo.
