Wasn’t he traded. To Arizona or something? Maybe part of the cousins deal?
- Just5

yes, he was, you're right. but i think your rights can be traded even if you haven't been signed. i seem to recall him not ever being signed. i'll have to check that out.

btw, merrick madsen is tearing it up so far in the AHL. remains to be seen what will become of him. i'll just say i was not happy when the flyers did not sign him.
- hammarby31

He's played in like 4 ahl games let's pump the brakes. We have enough goalie prospects

he had not signed yet, and returned to harvard for his senior year last year. this is hir rookie season in the AHL with tucson. they signed him to a 2 year entry level deal last season after he was done at harvard.

I'd start by benching Weal, he's awful. Laughton at 3C, with JVR and Simmer. Lindblom back with Patrick and Jake... Doubt there gonna make any trades, this is Hexy we're talking about. See what happens from there...

i simply said i was unhappy they didn't sign him. kid has a long way to go, but he's promising play as a college goalie has thus far translated into ahl success.

benching a forward like weal will do nothing for this team

does the incidental contact prevent him from trying to make the save or making the save, is, in my mind, how the rule should be implemented. in this case it didn't knock him out of position. yes, he grazed the glove and mask, but there was literally no effort by him to track the puck to try to stop it. he wasn't pushed out of the way. jvr screened him. that's why it went it in, and that's why it should count.

the inconsistency is terrible. if here firmly planted inside the crease and JvR bumps him, then i have no problem.

- hammarby31

I’m blown away. I’m not attacking anyone who doesn’t like that call but I knew it wasn’t a call to challenge. JvR did physically bump him. That goalie while at the edge of his crease was in his crease. Sorry, it was a bad challenge.

i knew it wouldn't get overturned because of the contact. i don't give a (frank) about the challenge. i don't like the call. his feet were in the crease. the rest of him was not. again. the contact didn't prevent him from making the save. that's my issue.

Message? Please... Just ice better players, they haven't done that. Hak is awful as well. Not gonna get rid of the coach and acquire a 3C, Dman and goalie mid season. Have to try to build some chemistry from within.

raffl doesn't belong on any team that intends to contend

i think he's good utility guy and could fit well on a contending team.

I want Hextall’s head at this point.

Zero faith he makes the required change. 264 and counting.

Perimeter and passive play obsessed with point shots. Countless games with a poop PK for multiple seasons.

These are not the Flyers I used to cheer for. If G or V don’t mask the glaring issues they are exposed.

(frank) them all. Keep trying to gimmick the fans into cheering for a product that puts meth heads to sleep.

Pretty much what I have saying for the last two years and don't even bother commenting anymore. MJL still seems to have all the answers but the reality is Hextall and Hakstol should be fired. Any other GM would have canned Hakstol long ago but Hextall will have to fire him soon to save himself. Pathetic results for such a talented hockey team.

Totally agree it was a bad challenge. After seeing the replay it was obvious it would not count. Yes I lost a goal by the Gost but it was the right call.

Your not getting Varlamov till next year. Best UFA goalie by a mile but the way he is playing the Avalache may just ink him to another three year deal. I would really like to see Pickard get a string of games to see what he can do. Elliot and Neuvirth need to disappear.

Have to trade a core player. Same guys the last 6 years that have won nothing. Giroux, Voracek, Simmonds, Coots...someone has to go. 1 goal the last 6 periods at home. They are way too comfortable because nothing changes.
